Why a freeroll? Surely a team that would want to represent Blonde should at least be prepared to deposit in it's cardroom no?
Prepared to, yes.
Able to for financial reasons, no.
Why should players who cannot deposit on Blonde miss out?
LOL ok. So how will they manage the £50 entry and expenses to stay in Manchester? It would be a $10 MTT max probably sure they can manage to stick $20 on blonde.

Tighty SnG's have rules? Since when?
Never.
Anyway, post alternative ideas...if there are any...and we'll do a selection process soon enough

Bearing in mind the tournament you are aiming to play in is a £50 per person tourney, you could play a tourney with equal cash to top 8 towards entry costs.
Just an idea.

Or you could just make the top raker (who wants to participate) on Blonde the Captain and let him/her chose the team.
The question is, are we playing for fun, or to win? If it's to win, we should be choosing the best 8 players, if it's to have fun, socialise and play poker, then a random draw / freeroll Donkament will suffice.

Right, fuck it. I'll state my financial situation, and maybe people can see that as an example.
I don't work. Not out of choice, I'd kill to work right now, but I can't. I'm signed off sick, for reasons I'm not going into on here, and have been since September 2008. I get about £50 a week in state benefit.
If I was one of the lucky ones to qualify, then all I have to do is put £5/£10 away each week. There are enough weeks between now and then that I can do this. I don't have very much in the way of outgoings because I live with my parents that it would hurt to do this, I just wouldn't have the occasional takeaway that I do.
As for expenses, I live 30 minutes from Manchester so I wouldn't have to worry about those. I could either book a train now, and get ridiculously cheap seats, or I could ask The Duke for a lift there and back as I know he is playing. If I made Day 2, I have friends in Manchester I can crash at.
So yeah, I can't deposit on Blonde right now. But I can play this tournament. Why should I have to miss out?

Right that's it I'M OUT.
It's just not worth risking a 3 minute Karaoke Solo from Joobs in order to represent Blonde

Eck is so blue blooded sharplea he doesn't understand the coalface like you and I, just ignore his elitist ramblings.
Tighty...
My thoughts are shouldn't blonde members who have supported the tour thus far be given preference (rather than the bandwagon)?
Isn't one MTT a little swingy to choosing the best team?
Does blonde want to win or just take part? if take part choose anyone, if win pick the best players!!
PS count me out I'm elsewhere ;-)
