has to be a 3 week $10+1 tourney to see who gets in.

8 points for 1st down to 1 point for 8th.

after 3 weeks the top 8 get into the team.

1/2 prize money withheld to go towards team entry fees, with the rest of it given out each night as standard tourney payout.

Think it needs to be decided and sorted before then in an ideal world.

Last year we chose three nights of the $10 donkfest on blonde, and people played in them.  The highest 8 finishers in any single event got into the team (well, it was 10 in the team last year).

This means that people who can't play on a certain night aren't too disadvantaged.  Last year we ran them on consecutive Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights and most people who were interested in playing managed at least two of the three nights.  However we do it, people are going to be disappointed as there are more people interested than there are places in the side.

Not sure that a 'league' system is completely fair (especially if they're on the same night each week and that means people can't play at all.  It might work if there is a series of tournaments with the best three finishes for each person counting - similar to the way the blonde league worked.  This means people aren't penalised if they miss one or two of the events, and everyone has a chance to get three finishes recorded.

Just thinking out loud.

you could do it that each winner gets automatic qualification, and the other spaces are decided on points. agree it needs to be sorted sooner rather than later so those  that get a spot can make arrangements.

I really don't think that would apply to the people who want to play this. DUCY?

I don't know mate, hasn't stopped people playing APAT events in the past. Anyway I will leave this thread now as my views on all of this will just lead arguements that have been going on for years.
