How is it bad form ? I was mislead on this thread.
I have still offered a 20% profit on the purchase price, or the option to relist the item ... I think I have been more than fair.
ha you tried to nick a few quid out of their pockets and it backfired, how much is your reputation worth?

To be fair to Kev, it's not as if he was bidding for them on the sly trying to make a few pence.
In the scenario that they were going for less than purchase price and Kev/Woodsey didn't bid it's not as if the syndicate would have been better off so how was he pinching pennies?
I joined in the pay pay pay fuck Kev bandwagon for fun, but in all honesty his £60 offer seems fair imo
edit : try to get 70 outta the grimming fk

Ok I'm stupid.
I've reread this thread about 5 times and still struggling to understand.
Can someone give cliffnotes as to what Kev has done.
I thought he was just bidding up the shoes to help us. But obv not.

no he was bidding on shoes that were under there retail price to pick up a bargin
the pair he bought he was under the impression were a pair bought at retail price above where he bid
but was msslead and the pair were bought for half the price he bid

That was the idea, I was bidding up to just below purchase price or in some cases just above... was all going swimmingly until the shoes that were said cost £99 were bid on by myself and Woodsey to £95 ... It then became clear that they were in fact £49.99 purchase price.
I would never have bid that high on the item as proved by my previous bids on other pairs, was just a monumental cock up.
As stated previously, I am happy to pay a 20% premium or you can re list the item.

1. Auction has 15 mins to go for a particular pair of shoes.
2. Blatch has been posting the price of what every pair cost them with 15 mins to go so we can all sweat the auction.
3. By mistake Blatch writes on here that the shoes cost them £100, when they actually cost £50
4. Auction price is currently about £70-£80.
5. Me and Kev individually think its a good idea for us to bid for the shoes if we can get them at cost price +/- a few quid, me to sell on at a later date, don't know about Kevs reasons.
6. We obv push up price significantly in last few minutes of auction based on price info in this thread.
7. Auction closes, Kev wins at £95, we are then told that the real cost price is £50 not £100.
8. I sigh with relief, Kev is gutted and feels grimmed.
9. We all LOOOOL at Kev
10. Debate ensues

If they did cost a hundo you woulda had to ship to random for £30 loss rather than Kev for £5 loss.

Please explain how I could possibly be trying to do that by bidding in the first place ...
Meh, whatever, I am off to bed.

dont think he was trying to or even if he could
even if he won he auction at a price lower than you guys paid then he would have bid more than the highest bid anyone else would of bid

From the way I read it, Kev has been bidding on certain pairs of shoes under the original price that Paul paid for them, so that the syndicate got pretty much their money back on that pair rather than losing 50% or something like that.
On Paul's list, it said that the shoes Kev was bidding on was a pair that cost £99.99, so Kev upped a bid that was £60-£70ish to £95. After the auction ended, everyone realised that the shoes actually cost £49.99 and Kev wouldn't have bid for them otherwise.
What Kev was going to do with the shoes, I don't know. I doubt he was gonna re-list them to gain because if they're not selling at the premium time to do so, whats gonna happen if he relists them? Yeah, ITT he's having a pop at Blatch but that's just Kev IMO. Even if he did re-list them and gained, he'd prob use the gain in Blonde's favour.
Personally, if I'm the seller in this situation, I find out what Kev and Woodsey's usernames are on eBay, go back to the next bidder, and offer their maximum to Kev, and ask Kev if he relists them to use any profit he makes towards some staking/league prizes, so he doesn't benefit (sorry Kev, but it seems unfair if you do after this mixup) and the syndicate gets what they would have got anyway.

Inspector Dempsey provides pretty compelling evidence.
