Is it only me thinking that 11/10 on Brazil are really generous odds seeing as England are missing 6/7 key first team players tomorrow...

It's for that reason and also to annoy all the club managers as much as possible,

Well, the injuries picked up by Gerrard and Torres on international duty (again) have certainly hampered Liverpool's performances and results.

If it was for injuries on the pitch or at training they wouldn't but this was completely avoidable if they'd have flown in first class, like they should of.

Just thinking about this, are clubs going 'reward' players who prematurely call an end to their international careers?  It would better for the club, and if the player is given a financial incentive then it might be an offer they find hard to refuse?  Of course, it's an honour and a privilege to play for your country - but once they've done it a few times, do the players still see it as the peak of their career - or would they rather win the league/CL, etc., instead (especially whilst pocketing some more cash)?

LOL you couldn't make it up ...

The Football Association could face a £900,000 compensation bill from Chelsea after midfielder Frank Lampard suffered a thigh injury while on board a "cramped economy jet".

Though this one is 100% believable

Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage suffered embarrassment after turning up at an airport where his side were due to fly to Amsterdam for a friendly with his wife's passport.

You're right, of course.  Torres was a waste of money.
