the ultimate Luton bad beat

Its an unlimited rebuy comp and Avi Darvish joins the comp late on your table. Metaphorical lips are licked.

He is unusually subdued, no rebuys.

5 minutes before the end of the rebuy period someone on the table has a second rebuy and Avi pipes up "It's only one rebuy isn't it?"

Whole table puts him right and he exclaims "Oh, I would have played my normal game if I had known!"

First hand after the rebuy Avi and the spitting image of Edmund Blackadder, series 1 wet Blackadder, get 25,000 in on a flop of A-7-3 rainbow

Avi A-J

Blackadder A-8, calling all in and genuinely surprised to be behind

Avi has 35k soon after  and by the end of 100-200 he is out!

Quote of the evening.

I'm at the same table as Dingdell, and a blonde, blue-eyed, very caucasian young chap joins the table. "is it just me?" ponders Trace "or does he really look like Andi Peters?"

Just seen Wednesday night's result. George Michael won it. Kinda says it all. But lurking in seventh was white truck man, Thomas. Four belated points now awarded.
As for last night, it was another points-galore evening for league merchants.
12pts go to Sir Donksalot, who proved there's no karma in poker by slowrolling Xpressman with second set and still going on to claim second.
6pts to Ding for finishing fifth. Retirement has brought her game on in leaps and bounds.
Tighty also off the mark for the month with his sixth.

By the way, in the spirit of fair play, I honestly believe Sir Donksalot should INSIST I get five bonus points for my third on New Year's Day. At the moment he has 5pts extra for winning a crapshoot, while I have ZERO extra for outplaying Nipper Tann in a PROPER tournament. Life ain't fair. Help me Obi Donks Kanobi, you're my only hope...

This is fine obv. The more the merrier for 2010, which promises to see a bumper crop of newbies in the league. Fingers crossed MDD doesn't get a laptop from Mrs MDD for Chrimbo, or we might as well all give up now.

Sigh - I meant Andy Crane....

Loving this comp - 2 visits, 2 glasses of wine, 2 plates of barbequed chicken with cheese bacon and chips (yummy - bad but good), 2 final tables, 2 cashes, 2 great nights of banter with the funniest starting table last night ever - 4 women (5 if you count big girls blouse Nirvana) and random men trying to outplay Evil, Claw and I as we fished our way through dodgy flops. This is what poker is all about - when did poker at the G become fun again? Thursday nights.

Funniest moment from last night was when I bumped into Diddly Tiddly mid cardroom.

He greeted me with his usual big smile and a friendly handshake.

........And then it happened..........

...............as we shook hands the words "Alright Diddly?" left my mouth.

Oops. Oh fark! Lol.

I then proceeded to call him by his real name about 15 times in the next sentence.

I blame the Kronenbourg.

Feeling a bit jaded this morning for some reason. Only just managed to get on train to London; I thought that I really should visit my work colleagues at some time today, to see wot's going down in the big bad City innit.

Have good days all. ttfn.

Drain-pipe.

Nice result guys, ridiculous deal i heard.....

Anyways, about cris poulton, i object to his inclusion in next years league on the basis that he owned me harder than anyone has in ages the other night. Thinks hes mofo ivey or summat.
