It would appear honourable league elder that you already have. 54 is the correct total. I played 8 this month including last night.

I shall unexpectedly be playing tonight please add one

I refer the honourable gentleman to the comment I made some moments before. Went out sixth jamming with Queens against tens. Matey spikes the 9 on the river for the straight. Ho hum. Was lucky to be there in the first place. Was lucky to still be in at the final table. Made a lovely stop go against Joe Grech, first hand up with 18 left, moving to his table and straight into the big blind. it was worth the entry for that opportunity alone. Blinds 2000 - 4000. He raises it up to 10. I flat with . Flop   . I push for 20k for the simple reason that the man likes to bully and he doesn't think that I have this move in my armoury. He lays down what I can only assume was Two Diamonds . Good bluff me.

I was sure our drinking tokens were going to pay off. The league Elder had his most competitive face on. Shame.

well Done to sir snatty for 6th.
Hard luck to sirchimpy for his exit despite the 3 people huge crowd around him offering support.

I built up a few chips but had a train crash earlier havin called a raise with 97diamonds and flopping 8TJhearts. Allin and his QhQc binks the inevitable heart on river. FFS
survives for a fair while after getting to 18k from 2.5k low point, but rapidly increasing blinds kept dictating the play which woz a shame.
I finally shoved with 77 in MP and walked into JJ in the SB.
End of.

2 funny moments......
1. Sb low stack shoves into snattys BB. Snatty calls with k6s and sb's JQ binks a Q on turn and then slams the table and gives it a Loud whoop whoop.
.......and snatty says "and with such class"
lolage
funny moment number 2. Chumpy steams out of the room having lost his 66 vs QK race, only for nirvana to shout out "are you still putting money behind the bar?"
more lolage

on the train. very cold. Late for work. V tired.
Thinking wot I coulda bought the kids from santa for the wasted £165.
Oh well they'll have to play with last year's presents.

Ciao for now
drainy
ps - shame it woz a 30 min clock imo

Do we think there will be many there this evening???
Think I might wait until Sunday.

I didn't like the whooping man much in honesty. Still I am sure he didn't like me either. He went out 8th or 9th. I didn't whoop but I might have smirked a little.

And congrats to chiompy

76 in the end last night. WP me and Alan Gray for getting the under/over line about right at 70. GG the other bettor who set the line at 150...A push for me on the night.
Think they'll struggle to match that number tonight imo, for a £300 midweek two-day jobbie. The under/over line is set at 55 here if anyone fancies a sidey?
I'm not playing tonight.
A) Too farking cold
B) Knackered. Too much presh playing on behalf of someone else last night. All I could picture when I was all-in with AK was Nirvana's little face, all disappointed at not having an endless free supply of merlot on New Year's Day. It upset me. Genuinely.

Funny old game innit. I so nearly got some mad drinking dimez behind the bar for New Year's Day but then...

First table was quality and Woody Deck is one seriously impressive player. Had Handsome Paul to my left, 40-year heater to his left and Woody to his left, so not much late-position stealing to be done.
Up from 6k to 11k at the first break, up to around 20k at the second break, and up to around 33k as we hit 1k-2k with around 15 left.
Then AK no good v Pete Gardiner's 22 shove, then 66 no good v Pete Gardiner's QK, and that was that.
Sorry leaguers, I tried, grinded like you wouldn't believe but same old same old late on. Thanks for the staking anyway. Pleasing gesture.

Anyway, I saw a hand tonight that was serious deja vu, involving random London donk, who took HP's seat, and Woody Deck.
I read an article by Neil Channing recently in which he recounted how, not long ago, James Akenhead was becoming frustrated with poker, mainly because his game was too sophisticated for the limp-call merchants on the London circuit, who kept sucking out. This must be a recurring theme for the really good, thinking players.
Tonight London Donk made it 1100 with the blinds at 200-400 from the cutoff. Woody had a stack and called out of the SB. The flop came 2 9 10.
Woody check called a 1300 bet.
The turn was a 5. Woody check raised London donk (1250) all in with 5 9 for his remaining 5000. LD called with QQ. LD duly rivered a set and then started proper laying into Mr Deck for calling with such garbage and getting lucky.
Deckers replied he knew LD had JJ or QQ and was going to check raise the turn all in if it came a 9, 5, A or K. He showed a lot more restraint than most would have. Some people actually have plans and THINK about what's going on you know London boy.
I saw something spookily similar at the Vic in March, when stacked-up Lucy Rokach called an early position raise from another London Donk with 56 out of the SB. The flop came 5 6 Q, she check called, and then check shoved the 10 on the turn. LD called with AA and rivered his set.
Exactly the same thing, an outburst on how bad she was for calling pre-flop. Mickey Wernick was almost up out of his chair to defend her. She had a stack and a plan. Show some class LDs ffs.
Anyway, enough of that...

Updated up to and including Mon 30 November

Alex FOP wins player of the month by 1pt from Celtic (sighted tonight eating FRUIT! - and not in a pie neither), with Sir Donksalot just behind.

I've added a tournament on to the totals played by Celtic and Nirvana. Anyone else need one adding in? Messrs McBink and X-Man?

Snatiramas ul in sixth, running QQ int 10 10. Seems worth more than five points but that's what it is unf.

My total is correct - we added the extra one on yesterday.

Unlucky with those 2 hands against Pete - I would've loved to see you cash in this.

Bink!

I like the number plate and will look forward to seeing it.

I've got one on order too but I couldn't find any reasonably priced variations of Lucky.

I did find PR04 MCB but thought that might be too pretentious before I turn pro!

I've settled for AL04 MCB.

Luckster,
What about MCB10NK?

I swore the one thing I'd never do is buy a personalised number plate. Many's the time I've driven past a TW7 or JR3, or whatever, and shook my head.
Funny how you turn 40 35 and the mid-life crisis insta-kicks in.
FFS, I'll start keeping koi carp next!
