I know, feels like it deserves more, but unf just double.
However, some things are (almost) more important than the league and this is one such occasion.
Get it won sir.

Here are the results from last night’s £20 rebuy...nobody scored any points, so no change.

The much-missed Seb made an all-too-rare appearance.

August is proving to be a quiet month for league pointage but a long way to go innit.

Only two days until the new episode of ‘In Poker’ hits our screens on CH865. This promises to be a quality show, as Lucky McBride gives his deepest, darkest pokering thoughts.

Yes, he was the one with the Egyptian statue card protector.

Also it felt like a slow roll. He hesitated, looked round , asked "is it just me left?" and then "OK , I call"  before flipping aces!

Somehow 6pts seems scant reward for Lucky's eighth of 300-odd in a £1k event. But rules is rules. Well played sir.
Just a shame you got knocked out by the same donkey fella that took me out the other day. No justice.

Have you added my 100 bonus points for you know what?

No 100pt bonus Lucky sir, just the kudos of leaping to number one in my list of all-time poker heroes*.

...only four days until the new 'In Poker' episode appears on CH865. Don't miss it kids, Thursday night, 8.30pm.

No changes in the league standings tonight. Yours truly crashed in 12th** after losing a race by way of a change, while Jeff Buftybarger cemented his position in the relegation zone by not sorting out a saver for ninth. A rookie mistake.

Sir Donksalot was also present.

*This list is now defunct coz I retire innit
**Would have final tabled for sure but for being put out of my stride by some old dude rubbing my almost hairless, silky smooth arms during level 4. And some tosser pranging me motor not long after.

Feedback is required

Carmel has been listening to some feedback/comments from players and wants opinions. i am my own worst enemy. I said I would ask on here

1. Wednesday nights. It is unlikely they will ever be able to provide more than 10 dealers for this, and fields exceed 100. Carmel is proposing offering all those who begin the comp on a self deal table a 20% discount on the reg fee for the next competition they play at the casino.

2. The current Monday night is £20+£5.50. She is considering charging the field a £1 reg charge each and then taking 5% from the prize pool to cover the costs. The 5% fee would be less than the sum of the £5.50s as is. eg 20 runner field makes them £110 gross as is. Prize pools c £500. 5%= £25..thus trying to remove the highly unpopular nearly 30% reg fee currently in place

3 Considering making the Monday a £50 freeze and Thurs a £20 rebuy..reversing the current comps

Post here and views will be copy and pasted to Carmel's email. Unnamed if you wish
