first two suggestions sound like administrative nightmares tbh.
3rd suggestion probably a good idea to give a break between the 50 f/o comps.

Feedback is required
Carmel has been listening to some feedback/comments from players and wants opinions. i am my own worst enemy. I said I would ask on here
1. Wednesday nights. It is unlikely they will ever be able to provide more than 10 dealers for this, and fields exceed 100. Carmel is proposing offering all those who begin the comp on a self deal table a 20% discount on the reg fee for the next competition they play at the casino.
2. The current Monday night is £20+£5.50. She is considering charging the field a £1 reg charge each and then taking 5% from the prize pool to cover the costs. The 5% fee would be less than the sum of the £5.50s as is. eg 20 runner field makes them £110 gross as is. Prize pools c £500. 5%= £25..thus trying to remove the highly unpopular nearly 30% reg fee currently in place
3 Considering making the Monday a £50 freeze and Thurs a £20 rebuy..reversing the current comps
Post here and views will be copy and pasted to Carmel's email. Unnamed if you wish
I agree with 3.

1. Defo sounds like a lot of work. Wouldn't bother imo. 2. See above. 3. Good move but defo make the £50 on Monday the same as Wednesday's. That way both fields would end up below 100 imo and eridicate problem no.1.

1. Cap at 10 full tables. Alternate in for 3 levels of half an hour then 20 min clock....my guess is that would take care of any latecomers and reward those who turn up early 2. No problem with self deal on a £20 rebuy.....set all self deal at £4. It would save time and money. 3. Makes a load of sense.

Why the cap? It only detracts from the prize pool.

Why the cap? It only detracts from the prize pool. A fish is a fish. This tournament is neither fish nor fowl. Either self deal or dealer dealt....not both. The pool would be big enough and my bet would be the alternates would get in anyway. Also in its most basic marketing sense making something scarce improves its appeal not the reverse.....just look at the must have toys at xmas. If you want to preserve the longevity of its success a 100 cap will still get everybody in as long as they do not break a table..... the self deal tables are nearly always broken before the end of level 3.....get there late and you might have to wait.....happens everywhere else. They might want to do a meal deal for early arrivers but maybe one step at a time.

Wasn't the original decision when G opened that it would guarentee dealers for comps of £75+?

1. admin nightmare. It must be easier and cheaper to offer them £2 off something on the menu or from the bar, more visible, and better appreciated.
2. and 3. I haven't even played a rebuy yet, something I feel a little bit bad about after lobbying for it. But I didn't know they were going to juice it to death. Rather than working out which night to switch it to, first step is to make the vig acceptable and see how that goes. THEN work out which night it is best suited to. With 30% vig, it will fail on any night.
The membership has spoken with their feet, they have proved that 120 players will turn up midweek and generate a £6k pool. It won't suit everyone, but it is encouraging that poker isn't on a slippery slope to the knacker's yard, people will support reasonably priced (and juiced) events with a fair amount of play and a crack at a decent first prize.

Don't see a problem with capping at 100 myself. Don't the Vic cap the most talked about weekly tournament around, the £100 rebuy, at 70?

Here are the results from last night’s £20 rebuy...nobody scored any points, so no change. The much-missed Seb made an all-too-rare appearance. August is proving to be a quiet month for league pointage but a long way to go innit. Only two days until the new episode of ‘In Poker’ hits our screens on CH865. This promises to be a quality show, as Lucky McBride gives his deepest, darkest pokering thoughts.

£2 Still think the £20 rebuy on a thursday is better & £50 + £50 on a monday would work.
