August results
Name                 Won  2nd  3rd  Other   Pts
Sir Donkeys          0    1    0    1       14

The Bank Holiday £20 rebuy attracted zero league players to the best of my knowledge, so that's it for August.
We are now two-thirds of the way through the season and it's all still up for grabs.
At the start of the season a score of 3 looked like it would be good enough to win and that's definitely going to be the case.
Sir Donkeys is only one win away from going above me in the clown stakes. At one stage they were betting 1-100 me, 66 Sir Donkeys, but now it's only 1-16 me, 12 Sir Donkeys, such is the progress he's made.
Alex, you're gonna have to get you Luton trousers on more often. You need 15 more tourneys to qualify, having only played ten to date. Ding, I need your August total please innit.
As for the August points winner, league rules stipulate that a minimum score of 15 is required in order for a monthly winner to be crowned...

Top May points scorer - Snatiramas
Top June points scorer - Gamblor
Top July points scorer - Lucky
Top August scorer - No qualifier

NEWS JUST IN

They got 21 for the £20 rebuy tonight. Count'em doubters, twenty farking one! Enough for three tables.

The cardroom management sounded very pleased when asked to comment: "Such has been the upward trend in numbers for this event that we may keep it for October. In fact, we might even make Thursday night a £20 rebuy as well. And charge players £11 reg to deal themselves. Fark'em"

Wise words indeed...

I played last night, so please add one to my total played.

Final tabled, but no deals = no cash = no points.

Only 3 paid, including Adrian Gotch as usual!

Nobby must go well in the league next season imo. Should be a few new faces involved in 2010, inc RUHolding, Nobby, British Gas, the evil one and, of course, Birdforum of Luton.
Gonna be more competitive than ever.

LOL.
Jim played the hand perfectly imo. Little wonder he had steam blowing from his ears during the break.

If you hit the flop twice 95% of the time over the last 5 years, you can widen your calling ranges accordingly.

It's all gone very quiet.
There hasn't been so little movement since that time my mum said I couldn't go for a poo at Paul's.

Getting bashed up at Luton is pretty standard. No league points. There's more chance of Sir Donksalot getting in wearing a sports shirt than any bonus league points being handed out, but no penalty on this occasion...
