It was the final hand before the break. He got up and said something but neither me nor Lucky could make out what it was.

[ ] He did sound pleased though
[X] One of the words started with an 'f'

No, but he did need a doctor when i called his all in on a flop of 9 7 3 with A4 and rivered the Ace.

It was his fault tho, i did warn him i would call if he shoved..

Not sure what his name is. Bill? Known as the Doc?

His name is Nick. Don't know his surname.

Worst thing is, Pino used your 9 3 example to justify his bad call against me, saying it's OK to get your money in behind !

What do you think of this....?

My big blind at 400/800/50

Pino raised 2,500 more to 3,300 - he's been raising quite frequently.

I find JJ in the big bind and need to raise. I have about 19,000. I decide that a raise to 9k or more will leave me committed , so an all in push is better  (Is this correct?).

Pino dwells for some time and eventually makes the call for over 16,000 more with Q 10.

A queen comes on the flop, and it's "Unlucky, Lucky!"

Go on, I'll do you £100 at 5-2 if you want it (cash up front, Chompy & Sons is NOT a credit-offering bookmaker).

Pino is, in some ways, WPIL, although his results suggest otherwise. Most of what he does is hard to justify, the Q10 call being a perfect example from last night.
You played it text book Lucky I thought. Me and Celtic discussed the hand afterwards. There was nobody with decent game left at the table, so I made do.
From memory, Pinot Grigio made it his usual 2600 mid and it was another 16875 for him to call once you monkeyed.
Your stack size was awkward here imo.
If you put this up on PHA the concensus will probably be that the shove was correct but, while I'll prob get torn apart for this, I'd have prob smooth flatted, peeled, checked out the texture and seen what Pino Donkio decided to do.
The argument will be that you want a call from Q10 but, against Pino, Lalit, MDD and Jim McBride, I HONESTLY don't.
I prob need to be careful that my belief some players are intrinsically luckier at cards doesn't start affecting what I do but, in the above four cases, I am now inclined to play flops in a lot of spots where I prob shouldn't.

Rookie will be along shortly to reply..."LOL"

LOL  Q 10 is the nutz...i had the same thing a few weeks ago...guy makes a standard nick raise in the cutoff I shoved on him for his tourney life and he snap calls with Q 10 and hits runner runner....

Pino's call worse than dreadful..... but standard at mo.... i can't even believe these people actually think any more..

I think JJ is the outside of your particular range here...which kind of leaves q 10 nowhere..

Chompy u r right...some people just blessed..it wouldnt be so bad if they realised..but they just trundle along thinking their actually good at this game....

Lalait in fairness is a good player....but he does hit some cards and 8/10 flushes he chases  ...

Yes you can, £10 at 4/6 is all yours if you want it.

Lalit in fairness is a good player.

***Controversial comment of the week***

I'm inclined not to agree. Plain wastes too many good spots imo.
