Thanks m8

You may be correct, the wednesdays ive played in have had a big smattering of former nailed on tuesday nighters

I guess its the 1k plus winners cheque that they feel  is better value

Pity the structure kills any edge you may have is perfectly fine, just make sure you are 3bet jamming 20bigs as soon as you get there

Generally though, quite a few decent players at the lower levels i know of are giving the place a miss at the moment

Alexander            1    0    0    0       15
Nirvana              0    0    0    1       6

No scorers last night but another good result (second) for the fella what outplayed Sir Donksalot heads up at Circus Circus.
Mr Tearle texted me to say the Tuesday mob were much tougher to crack than the final three were a couple of weekends ago.

What (chips, clock, entry fee) is the Friday Night Comp now please? And still 8.30 start?

Half eight, 30mins, 8,000 chips, pretty close to perfection.

One is seriously tempted. Not played at Luton for ages.

Thursday for me this week imo, can't have star-spangled Hannah gunning for easy league points while I'm elsewhere.
No more Wednesdays here.
The buzz around the place on Wednesdays is good but don't think they'll top 60 tonight as folk start realising what a poor format it is compared to the other midweek comps.

Tuesday night, and time for a trip down memory lane      .....       off to The Western, for the £100 F/O.

90 runners, 10k in chips, great structure (150/300 level included, antes at level 6), Albert Sap out at 50/100, ridiculous pots at micro levels, good plays, awful play, noisy, occasionally slightly sinister comments, a field that wouldn't have looked out of place in a Star Wars movie - yup, it was a typical poker night in darkest dingy Acton       ......       luvverly.

Out in 27th at 1.30am     ....     God knows what time it finished      .....      Gawd bless 'em!

For those that enjoy playing poker the old fashioned way {actually seeing a few flops without putting your tourny life at risk}

May i recommend the new thursday night structure, the 4k starting stack is plenty but with the £20  re-buy at a very generous 4k chip reload ,you can at least have a good chance of getting a foothold in the tourny

Of course the shove monkeys now launch 4k pre-flop into the pot instead of the usual 1k,but again win just one of these and its happy days

Was utterly card dead last thursday so just couldnt get going, but this is def my fav comp of the week

Do a snatty, turn up fashionably late, buy in,add on and its £60 for 8k chips against a weakish field
