Is that hotel right next to the casino the Days inn?

Yep, Days Inn is the preferred stop-off point for those that have had their jabs and fancy a stint in Luton. It's exotic!

There's a gym in the basement and a big roundabout out the front, plus the occasional jet flying overhead.

When the prevailing wind floats in from the west of a morning, there's sometimes the faintest hint of onion in the air, as the Raj Douth prepare their lunchtime menu.

All in all, it's an experience not to be missed.

Sounds right up my street, stopped in that one attached to the multi-story last time not the nicest stroll back at 3am

One in the same me tinks.

I think he means the Thistle, used to be Strathmore.

Days inn is not a bad walk from the casino, I have staggered it many a time Wink ... The Thistle however is a different story, get a cab !

Laziness or because it's potentially dodgy/dangerous?

Wear a stab vest, you have to walk through luton town centre and round dark corners.

I'm not staying there this time - have done 2 or 3 times before.

I think I was probably safe walking back because of my intimidating presence, proberly

i've booked days for Saturday for £44. could have got Strathmore for £30 but figured £14 well spent to avoid doing that walk in the wee small hours.

but to enter the Omaha you have to put your name down on the thread on the APAT forum

It's an APAT side event

The G Casino Luton will run an Omaha event alongside day two of the APAT European Amateur Championship main event, starting at 3.30pm on Sunday.  The buy will be £20 + £5, with players starting with 5,000 chips on a 30 minute clock.  The field will be capped at 60 runners and any players who add their names to this list will be allocated the first seats.  Full player name please.

from apat. No reason why you can't enter, but I would expect it to fill from APAT people
