No there is. I believe G Man is talking about the £5 rebuy comp

Given there's this team thing tomorrow, is there any chance the evening tourney will sell out early? Worth buying in tonight if playing?

As it is a restricted entry comp, shouldn't count towards the league imo.

Oh hang on, I don't give a toss, carry on...

don't know the format of the team thing, but would have thought most down for that would still be playing it.

Tourney report please.

69 of Europe's finest tournament players assembled at the G Casino tonight, including a smattering of Portugese, German, Italian and Hungarian players ahead of tomorrow's festival.

These players happily played conventionally and blinded away uncontroversially having been told by staff the event was a Deepstack. One Portugese player pushed 9,000 at 200-400 and his Portugese friend ummed and aahed for most of a level before deciding to pass 10 10 on the button to the push, from a 20,000 stack, You can never be too careful after all.

Meanwhile Avi, Dennis, Mr Michael, Mr Chemical Ali, Mr Hamid and friends played somewhat more unconventionally and either a) found themselves in the cash game by 9.30pm or b) had le grand gateaux in front of them by the same time.

Sandwiched between this different demographic of poker players was a group of late 20s males with a Mediterranean Origin. They spent most of the night hollering to each other across the room

"How many ya got?"

"I just doubled up. Oh no I'm all in again."

"Whatcha Eatin'? Does it come in a bun?" was one particularly plaintively shouted request, no need for a radio mike, that was left hanging in the ether over the craniums of messrs Myland and Lynch, the latter of which made a face that made me feel he had sat on a wasps nest.

I found out that said group had a forfeit going. Whoever was first out had to down two tablespoons of hot chilli sauce and a glass of whisky. Whatever next? Mooning down the M1 from the Passenger seat at assorted Luton Poker players on their way back to London Colney? What japes.

Asif and Avi found themselves in seats 9 and 1 respectively on my table and at 300-600 got 50,000 in with K 10 and 2 2 Pre-flop. The winner of this coup found himself in, but shortstacked when I departed at 800-1600.

My highlight? Chinese George limped UTG at 200-400 and I found Aces third to Act. Putting in a smallish raise I was of course hoping that George had limped with something worthwhile. Young kid to my immediate left then pushes in for 18x bb. Folded round to me I make a brave call and find myself against 88, which flops a gutterball, turns a set and rivers the straight.

From this I did not recover, though gained more valuable shortstack experience as I hung around for two hours waiting for the double up that never came. By the time I pushed 87 off unopened with 9x bb left and was called and knocked out by A9 the sole remaining Portugese gentleman looked at me, part in pity, part in disbelief and settled back and waited for something better than a pair of tens.

lol - when I first read this is thought it was by GMan.

He Arrived late. Quick chat at my table..
No not playing the tourney, I'm here for the cash, says GR.
5 mins later he's approaching a tourney table with a handful of 10k chips.

Not too long later he's out and can be heard saying "remind me not to play this tournament ever again...."
Oops
I hope that u did better in the cash m8.
