lol this is true.  but yeah great player obviously but my downfall was not getting the big hand out my mind.  plus i only had 800 on me so couldn't really pull up much and should just nitted up.

best one of the night IMO was this.

couple of limpers, i raise CO i think with A5o liek 17 i think.  like 4 callers.

2 3 9 r flop.  checked to me.  i bet 46.  Blatch calls and fairly shortstack moves AI for 60 more.  ofc i have to call, nearly think of overshoving but dont as i figure my A high is likely to be good versus blatch and if i gain nothing from the hand rather than isolating to get it HU for my gutshot outs pluis maybe my A outs.  blatch then starts going on about runner runner outs blah blah blah and he calls.  pot is like 400.

The re-buy was good tonight.  I exited in like 13th I think.  After first break I had 24k.  Then next hour totally card dead.  Then get AK AIPF versus TT (that donk in seat 10 FYI sicillian) and I don't improve.

Pretty much the story of my tourney too. Don't think there were any leaguers left after I got knocked out.

Asif is da man in form, following up Wednesday's win with another one last night. Both in big fields too. I'm sure there's a photo of him in the window of my local barber shop. Not that I ever go in obv, but I've walked past it and thought 'Hmm, that dude really looks like Asif.'.
Xpressman is back in da groove too, following up Vic binkage with a fourth worth seven points. There's ev chance he'll ease he's relegation fears before the year is through imo.

I'm hoping to secure the services of TV's Tony Kendall on New Year's Day to hand out the trophies. He's a natural at this sort of thing and will probably be asked to give the bottom three a mention in despatches. Name and shame ftw.

Elsewhere, I've been trying to think of something new for 2010 and, by jingo, I think I've got it!
The problem with making the league a paid-up jobbie is that we're reliant on every player keeping exact records of how many tournaments they've played. Which would never happen.
Imagine 20 players all coughed up £100, you've kept exact records and finish 0.02 behind the winner, who you suspect may have played a couple more than reported. It would all kick off Mel-style imo.
No, that's no good. So instead, welcome to...

     Luton Blondeite League 2010 Fantasy Poker Competition    

This works the same way as Fantasy Football comps.
Each player will pick a team of five for a combined price of no more than £12m.
I'll compile a list of 50 Luton regs, with a price alongside, some time next month.
The most expensive player (MDD obv) will probably be yours for around £5m.
Scoring will be as per the league.
Each entry will cost £50 or £100, depending what the majority want to play for.
Depending how many entries we get (I won't run it if we can't muster ten or more) we'll pay either just the winner, the top two or the top three places.
