Ok.... This is an independant league and cannot therefore be governed by the G's female like mind changing every five minutes.. I got lucky again last night and fluked 5 points.

If the points are not to be allowed just because the G just won't put them somewhere I can't see them anyway then the league is pointless and unfair as I have negotiated points for my third final table from 180 tries this year.

I don't mind if savers and prizes wern't neogtiated but i fluked sixth fair and square.... The issue here is that points have been earned and verified and if there not to be allowed I cannot carry on in the league. Chompy - I've been looking for a way out of our side bet for a while as I know I can't win.

FYP imo

Mr Chompy

Some changes at Luton

Unknown players have complained to the GM that "its all over the forums that the published payouts are being changed every night"

Quite why this is a problem, what it is to do with them  and who the players are I do not know

As from tonight Luton decided to stick with the published payouts and it is once again up to players to sort out any deals themselves

So out I go 8th. Sicilian and I being part of the final table who negotiated money for 6th through 9th. It won't be on the results though

Don't mind what you do, as long as its consistent from here, but all results from now on will be as per the board payouts

Yikes, this is just unbelievable, but all very believable.
The unknown player(s) that complained about this needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror imo. If he does exist.
If there was a genuine complaint I'd bet it was specific from one person and mentioned Blonde. The 'unknown players have complained to the GM that its all over the forums' line = hmmmm.
This is reminiscent of an out-of-control teacher trying to strike back at unruly pupils imo. A cheap shot across the bows because 'we won't be told how to run our card room'.
Oi, G management, get your act together and stop making a big deal out of a nothing situation. Grrrr.

LOL

Even better, we (SirDonkalot) negotiated the £50 for 6th-9th, and we crowed about how we were getting more points, we asked for it to be put up on the screen and then they tell us "Carmel, she says no" to widespread incredulity. Even Dick Lynch scowled, and you never see him do that

LOL I was that desperate I said to Nina "but we need the saver to show on the official result for our league" in a whiny four year old voice

LOL

Oh dear....... just not good. What difference does it make. The only thing I can think of is that it could be creating a clique within the cardroom. i don't know. Of course if all the blondes stop doing any deals at all at the final table unless they are on the screen then maybe it will change back again......

"Multi-Dimensional Dick", aka Richard Lynch. A Luton Legend.

Great banter with Sir Donkalot? I think you are confusing him with someone eslse. Sir Donkalot just moans about Bad Beats.

Seriously chomps if the points are not to be awarded  then the prop bets off... If I am to make a complete dick of myself then I think legitamate points scoring need to be there and not at the behest of what mood the G management are in on any given night... lets face it i took the bet in a an almost hopless position..you gotta give a bloke a chance..

I have vowed recently not to comment on G tournaments... but I just have to report on MDD's latest exploits....

4 times last night..thats 4 times !!! .. he was dead to the river and out and each time he luckboxed his way out.... twice with runner runner and twice when dominated hit his out on the river.... Just absolutely scary........ and every time he sits there impassively only to bemoan his luck that his not getting any cards...

for all those that need to know below are MDD hand ranges..

Limp fold to a raise from any position = Ace up to 9 kicker...KQ...KJ

Limp Call a raise = ace 10-A Q.... any pair up to JJ

Big raise  =  QQ KK AA AK

Big Re raise usually allin = QQ KK AA AK

and thats it..... you can then rape pillage and outplay the old boy till he gets frustrated and sticks it in with A 4 and rivers you for the lot...

Is there any new news here ? :-)
