Still 4pm as far as I know.

Not being rude, but how sure are you? I heard 5.30pm mooted, but cannot find any reference to it now.

Ahh, thank you.

I may be there on Sunday, if the Southend 2-dayer goes pear-shaped.

I thought it was the £250 last night?

They're really making a pigs ear of running that place at the mo.

Probably lost 10-15 runners who thought it was the £250

As Chompy said above - they went with the usual £75 by the looks of it.

lol, a couple of quick phone calls ascertained the following

about 50 turned up

Only problem was 15 turned up for a £250, 35 turned up for the normal £75..the £250 being so unadvertised that no one knew about it, though some reg fri players clearly didn't show thinking it was a £250

An "executive rice krispies" decision was taken and the £250 players departed into the night, grumbling. No £150 compromise then

the £250 clearly wasn't advertised/pushed as much as it should have been, but it was listed on the schedules.  Crazy to change the advertised tournament that some people have made the effort to check is on and then turn up for, imo.

It does seem very odd, but I reserve a little bit of judgement as I wasn't there. Just a little bit, mind

Anyway, not the way to encourage player loyalty with these types of decisions. Just look at the Luton names/London names playing Equal Chance. Luton need to realise they are not operating in a vacuum and get their marketing and customer service arses in gear.

As implied above and on other threads, the room is suffering from bad management again at the mo. I put this down to the absence a lot of the time, of Niall and Nina, as well as management methods from above straight out of An Apprentice reject's handbook

The £100 golf day jobbie last Monday also wasn't shown on the website.
It's not like the website info can't be changed at any time. Just one phone call you would imagine to sort it out?
They are also going to have problems tomorrow and next Sunday imo because of different start times on the published literature compared to the website.
At least they've sorted out the major issues, like not changing the payout structure on the system. Grrrrrrrr
