cheapest?

http://www.bodyactive-online.co.uk/Shopping/pdchemical-flapjacks.asp

used them for ages, always next day delivery, once they sent out a duplicate order and charged me for it, over £100, i rang them up to complain thinking fml i'm gonna have to get to a post office to send this box back and they insta refunded my money and told me to keep it Smiley

Looks good.

The supplement store also give reward points which work out to about an extra 5% off. Still not as cheap as these though.

 NH

Companies with C/S like that are worth their weight in gold, time to have a scout about and see if the sell any of the stuff I buy too Cheesy

More expensive for pro bar XS.

I know the supplement store has sales on for certain products including the flapjacks which have been £15 at times.

Perhaps we should get a list together of what we all use and keep each other informed if we spot a good deal on each others favourite products?

Sell by dates on these things is ages so when they're cheap it's worth stocking up.

As long as they're all free delivery I guess you can just get 3 different orders if it works out cheaper.

Thanks fellas. The most important question still remains.

Which flavour?

Matt, I'm not at deeteedee on Sunday (Dot2dot with Stu) but I'll just order some I think. These look good for after training, whereas before I train I'll be having something like this http://www.bodyactive-online.co.uk/Shopping/PdSIS-GO-Bar.asp - which has more carbs, some protein and very little fat.

I like the normal Chocolate flavour over the Choc Orange, those are the only 2 I've tried

Can't go wrong with the chocolate flavour mate.

These might be an alternative for your pre training: http://www.thesupplementstore.co.uk/brands/cnp_professional/pro-energy-bar-cnp_professional_pro_energy_bar_30_bars.htm#product-ingredients-nutritional-details

Or if it's solely carbs you're after: http://www.thesupplementstore.co.uk/brands/cnp_professional/cnp_professional_pro-energy_500g-cnp_professional_pro_energy_500g.htm#product-ingredients-nutritional-details

I went for the Choc/Orange flavour - sounded nice Cheesy

The SIS bars seem to be the ones that are highly recommended (for some reason triathletes are more up to speed on this sort of stuff than runners), but I might try those in the future.  The powder stuff you provided a link to is a good idea before an event to help with carbo-loading.  Something to have as well as loads of pasta!

Might help me go from being a mediocre runner to a slightly less mediocre runner...

Thursday is pub lunch day with my mum so a slightly less than ideal lunch. Everything else spot on as usual.

8.30am - Breakfast. 2 whole eggs + 4 egg whites omelette.

12.30pm - Lunch. Lamb shank with mash potato, peas and gravy + fresh orange juice with lemonade.

4.30pm - Pre training. Flapjack.

6.00pm - After training. Protein shake.

9.00pm - Dinner. 225g chicken made in to curry + 50g rice.

No mate. I've not actually got a treat day so this is just classed as a bad day.

Having an official treat day can make you think you've got to eat something bad and I prefer not to do that at the moment whilst I've got a difficult goal to achieve.

None of it's more important than lunch with mother though so I just pick something as healthy as possible and accept it as a slip.

Yeah, blame your mum Wink

If you stick to your diet as you do, it gives you plenty of leeway to treat your mum and yourself. What you had doesn't sound too bad either. It's not like you went to McDonalds.

Yeah there was nothing wrong with it at all really.

Gravy was a bit too nice to be healthy and obviously lamb is more fatty than chicken or turkey but as a one off it's absolutely fine.
