Well what a holiday that was!!

Way too much drinking and feeling ridiculously ill by myself and Mr Hopkin.

Eventually got back early hours of this morning and had a weigh in for curiosity's sake.

103.2kg, a gain of about a stone from when I went away.

Can't really see where it is to be honest but I'm pretty sure it'll be gone some time soon enough.

Been for physio today to get a ridic bad shoulder/back sorted so will be back in to training on Monday.

He ate far too much

I managed one day that involved a slice of toast, and another that involved half a McChicken Sandwhich

Attempted to be sick three times but there was nothing there, constantly destroyed the toilet in what is now referred to as 'a Hopkin'

lost 1 1/2 lb!

See Matt? Just follow Hopkins' example and you could, some day, hope to become as fine a specimen as he is. (Obv you will never become like hopkin but, let's be honest, it's the dream).

The first couple of days back after a holiday are always tough and this has been no exception.

On Monday I did abs and arms which was steady enough then last night had a stab at a chest session.

I knew that I couldn't do anything silly because I'm still nursing a bit of a dodgy shoulder so I just did some light work + 1 set of decent dumbell press at 40kg.

All in all I'm pleased with the re start.

I've got physio in a couple of hours which will hopefully see me back to full fitness then I should be back on it fully next week.

Unfortunately I seem to have picked up a bit of a cold which is always a pain. Nothing serious at all and they never stick with me for long so I'm sure it'll be long gone before next week.

Going to load up on day/night nurse for a couple of days to try to shift it.

I've not weighed myself since I got back because tbh I don't care. I know I'm still a bit lardy thanks to too much drinking and eating but that'll be gone soon so it's all good.

I used to mate a few years ago.

I really miss it as well but unfortunately I just didn't have the time to continue.

When my whole life revolved around training it was basically, weights 5 times a week, kick boxing 2 times a week and bjj 2 times per week.

I also used to have physio once a week to get myself put back together again Smiley

When my circumstances changed I just couldn't continue.

Unfortunately the cold I mentioned last week knocked me totally sideways which messed up last week's training.

I've not had one that bad for years and I even needed a couple of days off work.

All fixed now though so back to it 100% in a couple of hours.

I'm going to try to get 5 sessions in this week including a leg session which I've not done for a while.

I find it difficult to fit everything in with 4 sessions so maybe it's time to add that extra day and get all body parts done each week.

I need to have a good blast at the diet again. Last week was bad because I was feeling sorry for myself so I really need another kick start to get things back on track.

A good chest session tonight is step one.
