Stars appear to have been signing up loads of local pros/internet players who are big in the countries they're targeting, eg Germany/Holland etc.
It's about time they signed some good UK pros. I'm guessing they'll sign a few more now to promote the UKIPT.
If I'm Stars, to promote this thing, I would have Pab at the top of my list.

He was on my table for the Masterclassics Main Event and made a terrible move to go out. Blinds 400-800 He has 20k. He opens in the cutoff for 2200. Button calls, sb (a very tight player) makes it 8500 to go. He shoves with K2 with virtially no FE against someone who was about 20-1 to be squeezing with no hand. I know one bad play doesn't make him a bad player, but he didn't look a class above in the time he was on my table. |

Fair enough Keith. The new style of the team Pokerstars players is very much based on the success of what was then the German Shooting Stars (which has since become Team Pokerstars Pro Germany). Their country manager just signed up all the kids with the best potential and put them on the team so they picked up people like Sebastian Ruthenberg and Sandra Naujoks before any of them had really won much. I'm guessing they're repeating this pattern with many other countries.
