Its even more bizarre when you think they've just had a weekend of good events about right for the place. Why alienate the 30-40 regular triple chancers ?

Start with 2 tables imo.... in case 11 want to play

Great fun, two short handed tables from the start then straight in to a FT, what better way to spend £250 :-)

Its the format thats wrong on a Tuesday, with the modern way of raising 8 times the big blind as standard ,with 1500 chips thats basically an involved hand nowadays,3 loses and your out

Change the format to some kind of freezout or double chance at the lower buy-in level, and its 60 odd on a Tuesday

Its not rocket science,is it?

James must be smiling from ear to ear with the £250 sending him plenty of extra customers

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say there won't be any changes to the league table tonight.
Otherwise, it's welcome back to The Baron, who cashed on his first visit of the year last Wednesday (splitting such pokering giants as Sir Donkeys and Thomas Bernard) and who's about to become a regular G goer.

Whose the Baron chomps?

Apparently the £250 wasn't staged in the end, it was changed to a £50 + £50  Sad

The Baron = Aaron Cardoso

That would be the £50 + £50 formally the wednesday night comp they got rid of

Which imo, used to be the best night of the week at the G

the £50+£50 is much missed imo

I think I might host a party in honour of it, speeches, short video, recollections of tournaments etc etc

Nice to see the crew there have stuck to their guns with the £250 tonight though

My lasting memory of the £50 + £50 was when i joined your table with 18 or so left, and you re-raised me twice on the trot

I passed the best hand both times let it be said, but these things you learn from

Was a tough tourny to win the £50-£50,was hardly a 3-bet in sight

My lasting memory was my seat draw in my final £50+£50. I drew seat two so had a look down the entire table

I was in an aggressive phase, by which I mean a pre-flop raise once every four orbits

Sadly I drew

3 Dave Courtney

4 Pino Grigio

5 Avi Darvish

6 Trevor Webber

7 Georgious Michael

8 Hamid Jalfrezi

9 Quereshi McBusto

First hand of the night Avi made it 600 to play at 25-50 and received six callers.

Thoses, good ladies and gentlemen of the G Luton thread, were most certainly the days.
