Ade no longer has a local I think. Asked him on Saturday whether he still plays at The International (new Gutshot) and he said 'no'. Guessing he doesn't play much any more. Thank fark.

LittleRed called me a while ago saying she's locked out of the west wing; picked up the wrong keys apparently (proper blonde obv)

When leaving the house Little red managed to remember our youngest plus our even younger neice and nephew, so she is fully equipped with small children; just no keys.

The good news is that a friend of ours lives just round corner and he's got a key to our house.
For the purposes of the post I shall refer to him as Lee (mainly because that is in fact his name)
So I call Lee's mobile and he's at work (again locally)
I explain LRRH's plight and he tells me that our house key is in fact at his house but his other half is not at home.
He has a quick word with his boss, and jumps in his car to get to our key from his house and take it round to LittleRedForgetfullHood. Wp that man.

"Lee" arrives on the drive and proudly produces our house key from his pocket and proceeds to open the front door.

The small guys are getting a bit of a handful by now as they're bored etc so his arrival is warmly received by Drainetta.

Now to the good bit...

We sure didn't change our lock a month ago, and forget to give said Lee a new key.

[  ] and there's quite simply just no way that I am currently on a train from London to Drainy-towers.

Look, for the avoidence of doubt I am sure drainy is a wonderful warm human being, who on the right night at luton,(say a £5.00 rebuy for halfwits,students, the Tom mylands of this world, and any one else short of a few chromosomes)) would be wonderful company, I would go as far as to say if I met him on the street I would probably say "good morning drainy, how are you? before leaping under the nearest vehicle as he starts to tell me about his day, but honest to god reading his post's automatically gets me thinking of a gallon of unleaded, or how high exactly is the roof of the town hall ? I start wondering about exactly how fast the 2-20 to milton keynes would really have to be travelling to make it a quick clean end

Not sure I agree about the 'insomnia factor' when it comes to everything Drainy posts.  I found myself giggling at the 'locked out' tale.  However, you do make a good point as well.  There are other blogs/diaries on blonde...and he definitely should start one of his own.  Not necessarily because it doesn't belong here, but mostly because he has so much to say in his day. 

Start a blog thread Drainy.  Then you can have as much fun as ya like with it as it will be all yours.  And the people who prefer to keep this thread limited to G chat will be happy too.  Happy happy all around, no?

Not sure I agree about the 'insomnia factor' when it comes to everything Drainy posts.  I found myself giggling at the 'locked out' tale.  However, you do make a good point as well.  There are other blogs/diaries on blonde...and he definitely should start one of his own.  Not necessarily because it doesn't belong here, but mostly because he has so much to say in his day. 

Start a blog thread Drainy.  Then you can have as much fun as ya like with it as it will be all yours.  And the people who prefer to keep this thread limited to G chat will be happy too.  Happy happy all around, no?
