So let's get this right.

Mr X's play likens him to......

Lionel

Ruppinator

Pino

Hamed

Mr Kushner

WPIL

Avi.

This is excellent.

This is too good for words. Add Hitman Nirvana to the list.

was it you?

That was going to be my guess, but surely he wouldn't regard himself as Mr X.

You really think I'm THAT bad/good?

Be serious Rich.

But I do love to watch the dancers whilst I sit there quietly, nursing my 3xBB's. And I'm jealous that they all get early nights, too.

"Player of the Night Award" goes to Sicilidonk.

Soft Tables all evening resulted in him finalling with 190% of the chips in play, 73 trillion roughly.

He could have gone home before the Final started & still blinded into 2nd place.

He chose Plan B, & Raised EVERY hand.

Even the Nits soon worked this out, & we held a sweepstake to decide in what order we would pick him off.

Down to double Average, he starts open jamming now. Same result.

Soon, he was down to 6xBB.

Now all of a sudden he makes it 2.5BB from his 6xBB stack. Hamed passes K-K, I Pass Q-Q, & our Hero bemoans why he can't get action. "Because you have Aces" everyone, incl Kalem, replies. He shows Aces.

I actually felt sorry for him in the end. And I like him, & I like his game. But truly, I've never seen a stack butchered quite like that. Awesome.

I sent news of this to Chomps today, & he replied "damn, how bad do I run not to witness that?". (Err, because you donked off?)

Hmmmm..... the old recollection part of grandads brain is on the blink methinks.... i sat quiet as a mouse for two rounds on the final playing with me i phone thingy until two brave souls fell by the wayside.. Played a beautifully controlled pot against helmuth to induce a bluff on the end for extra chippies  before getting on the receiving end of 3 x 6-4's a horrific 19-1 river outdraw, a limp rraise shove with no FE against Jimbo mcbride who had K 6 os ( obv never winning that ) before shoving 12 bb with AK DD into randoms BB with  JJ...sigh... butchery in the name of winning wiiiii

I'm just getting ready for me Sunday lunchtime pint or three with me old mucker The Marquis Of Luton down the Dog'n'bleeding Duck but I dunno if I fancy a few beers after what I just seen.,.,.

Once a month I like to go pay me respects to the dear old Queen muvver at her resting place, gawd rest her soul, and then go visit me old mum, Sweaty Theresa's grave.,.,.,.

Walking down Enfield High Street minding me own business I was when I seen a league member necking an older woman outside the crematorium! I expect that sort of shite from young kids what show no respect but no from one of the league leaders.,.,.,

Please have a bleedin word with yourself son.,.,.

who who ..... blinking tease you are ...... worse than GMan's secret of the century episode lol

Hi All

Hellmuth Jr Jr here ;-) - Though i may lose that title one day if i start winning comps and playing \ll night with no headphones or sunglasses. . . . . .

Just wanted to say I really enjoyed playing last night - The vast majority of people in the luton cardroom are very funny people who enjoy playing poker and are capable of amusing conversation.

It was a very friendly evening apart from Nirvana's red ragging to start the car park wars. Which made our table very uncomfortable / entertaining for some time after.

Enjoyed it so much I may come play the tourney later tonight - rather than my usual monday games.

Was devestated by the AQ vs A9 - mainly cos i did consider folding but then i got the tell before he binked. Wasnt to be but id take the spot every time.

When i raised the legend "Player X" with the SF it was to around 14K after his 4K bet. But he told me i had the SF on the turn  then i laughed and he still bet in - lol - I will never min raise. Hellnuth Snr says not to.

And to Sicillian - That river bet was a value bet in my mind i was betting second pair as I felt i was ahead more than behind - Doh!!!

Anyway - If i make it tonight see yall there

If you could tell us the night you'll walk through the car park in Roman Centurion Garb with Edna, Claw, Holdy, Alex, Dingdell and Sicilian either side of you throwing rose petals...we'd all be grateful....

Dear Mr Twerp, it has become customary for people to join here with their given nickname, you are Hellmuth, end of, unless you wanna make something of it :-)

Oh, and welcome to the Luton League thread, pay no mind to the league standings, they obv don't mean anything this year

Welcome welcome Hellmuth Jr Jr. Please feel free to tell the masses that only a genius would have been able to lay down the nut flush in the face of your constipation-dwell-raise.

If memory serves, you made it 4500 at 800-1600(100) with K hearts, J.
I called out of the BB with A hearts, 8. Both decent stacks.
Flop came 9 10 J all hearts. Check, bet, call.
Turn Q hearts. Check-check.
River Q. Stopper bet of 4200, raised to 14000 odd, fold.

Thought I probz had to bet the river. If I check and you check behind with, say, a straight, it's a chance missed by me.
If I check and you bet, say, 8000, I'm obliged to call.
I should have just lol-shoved pre prolly. Meh.
