Unimaginative, jonnyplum and ChinaMug all cash last night. Well played all

Unimaginative is playing well, with confidence and couldn't miss a board if you blindfolded him, spun him around and told him to pin the tail on CocoPops

Good luck to him. Next time if he could refrain from calling my utg raise (QQ) with 109 and flopping 8JQ I'd be grateful

Or raising UTG with 33, calling a re-raise and flopping 473 to bust QQ and get to a monster chip stack

Or raising with A4 and flopping 235

that's all I can remember, but it was quite a sight!

jeez! The boy is blessed.
So did he win it, init?

Jason Cohen  £760
Chris Poulton £540
James Millar £360
David Johnson £200
Thomas Myland £140

As Tighty had the good grace not to flame me will relay his exiting hand as near as i can remember

Tighty     Rockstar    Ironside MK2

*  *     *  *

GG Tighty

Unimaginative was smashing flops like Federer on acid, but was impressed by his constant pressure and question asking hand after hand
Cards become irrelevant when a man is on his game like that,wp sir

Snatty joined us 3 tables out with chips,2 hands later he was defrosting the car

Down to two tables and leaguers everywhere,Dave Johnson and Poults were having a mega stack love-in to my right making me and my 8k feel like a second cousin sat at the top table at a wedding
At one point it looked like they would start necking, such were the compliments they were throwing at eachother

12th for me but a most enjoyable comp with many many flops seen, these new structures are to be applauded imo
WP The G

A few randoms from last night ,

Myself and Gav Kan accosted in the smoking cage by a man insistent he died in Ireland last year

A lady who was a cross between a voodoo doll and a crack whore, pestering Luther to buy her a bottle of merlot

And finally a typically brutal Lutherism as he passed our table after being knocked out,"No luck then Luther?who knocked you out?"

"I dunno,that ginger !£$% over there,im going for a fag"

Tales of gloom, alarm, and joy from poker Head Quarters to recount from last night.

A truly tough field (supplemented by some very good ex-The Western bods of Greek and Snatty extraction) locked horns, with very few 'G Midweek RDs' in attendance      .....        boooooooooo, dead money scarce!

Your Noble Author progressed smoothly, as Athi dominated but played too many flops, as per.

Sitting on the button at 100/200 - UTG (Ubermong Thatched Ginga) flats Athi's BB thus telegraphing his strong hand, as he had 'cleverly' used this Tic Tac twice already.

Looking down at the Rockets, I mused a raise of 650 would keep him in     .....     and price out an Athi fishing mission.

Well it certainly kept him in, as Ginge bounced 12k into the middle     .....       snapped.

A flop of K Q blank was complemented by a J, with a river of  9.

I was 'truly comforted' by Ginga Tosser apologising and explaining, "I thought you had A K".

Refraining from poking him the eye with the sharpest of sharp sticks - and not a single name up for  the Cash Tables - I wandered off to the Floor and decided to retry the Three Card Brag soppy bollox game, thinly disguised as Poker for the Casino Herd.

Winning a few quid I had the pleasure of Whoopee Goldberg - complete with Witch Doctor makeup - trying to ponce a drink out of me      .....        she really didn't need a top up, her breath could have stripped the Forth Bridge bare with a mere yawn.

Soon to follow was Resident Luton Nutter 2 - a Mediterranean type chappy with a pleasant sing song accent, but battier than your battiest Aunt.

He presumed Athi (who'd also suffered an early exit) was in the Army - because he had short hair - then started telling us his bruv was in the Forces out in Northern Ireland (I know we've got Ghurkas, but couldn't quite remember the last time The Royal Lebanese Phalangist Regiment trod the streets of Belfast).

Athi didn't chin him - and we fled Far From the Madding Crowd back to 'sanity' that is The Poker Room.

Eventually the Cash started     ....       and  I raced my first £100 into the pot with a FH fives over Jacks    ....       marvellous, he had Jacks up.

Bah humbug, reload    .....       and 'normal service' was resumed, thence a long session ended with a profit of £505 (quad tens, quad Kings, straights, flushes, trips galore - and noting the Tangerine Headed Monster departing the comp - all helped to rescue the night).

Chris P was doing the biz on the FT (Alex is hereby relegated to The Ghost of the Poker Past), but on checking the results couldn't overcome one of former 'thinking' players - an almost extinct species - from down The Western.

Wp Mr Poulton.

Wow - I'm impressed flabbergasted      ......      flying to another (in)Continent appears to be the Way Forward, for Chomps.

I'm sure the table banter of dentures, cholostomy bags, and arthritic cures is utterly enthralling!

Gl today, Graham      ......        although surely there must be laws against 'Elder Abuse', even in the Good Ole U S of A?
