I understand, Ian. But ultimately, I am not one of the people in charge. It's just the dealers themselves are pretty passionate about the place, so none of us really like that it happens. We just can't do anything about it.

I played 16 Times in The G last Month and not once this Month and to be Honest i have been playing at The Circus and i would not say it was inferior.............. far from it its a great place to play poker,with a friendly atmosphere and James does a great job to promote the place with lots of promotions and Guaranteed prize Pools.

I come up from North London which is a long journey and i personally do not like the new prize structure at The G and i was told that The Casino Group had asked the players opinion but i do not know how as the players former forum headed by Richard Prew disbanded if i recall as there views were never recognised ,

Also i have found the place not as enjoyable to play in as in the previous years ........I cannot put my finger on why .............But its just a feeling i get and as one has a larger choice where to play, i feel that i want to play where i enjoy and more important where the best value to me is ....................

 i will play there again once the numbers increase so it makes it more worthwhile with more prizes.....

Tonight saw the return of Luther, fresh from his attempt to quit the evil weed.Lets hope he didn't spend much on his treatment as my first glimpse of him was in his usual place in the smoking cage,sucking away on a Bensons.Wp Nicorettes.

70 plus tonight proves this is a tournament the masses want,not my bag but good luck to them.

Handsome Paul chipped up when i left,Luther still in as was T.Myland, who managed to get it in earlier dead to a flopped flush,but managed to hit case card,case card,full house.mbsfn.

The Great Stanleys debate:

James deserves any success he gets,he`s busted his plums on pushing his cardroom over the years with little or no help from management at times.
He texts myself and many others weekly with his tournament schedule,is pierless in his knowledge of the rules,is allways approachable,and listens to suggestions without taking offence.A class act indeed.
Stanleys offer an excellant alternative to the G,and i wish James every success.

The changes made to the schedule at the G were inspired,and universally greeted with approval
