Would you rather be attacked by a dozen duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck?

duck sized horses.  i think. no - horse-sized duck.

V. upset with lack of response. I thought this would spark a discussion... what are you people doing on a Sunday that's better than musing over mini horses and massive ducks?

What size are the ducks? There are different types - will make a difference to my answer.

twelve small horses please. Kickable. I would be rather scared of one ginormous bill on a monster duck.

Anyone considered how much fun it would be to fight a giant duck? Or how many wraps you could make out of a horse-sized duck? Makes me hungry just thinking about it

*prob best if you read my prior post before reading this.

I find it interesting that people at the poker table are quick to judge other players, most of us have our opinions, but tend to keep them to ourselves .... I guess forums are there to let off steam or seek advice answers and confirmation from other players.
Just because I did well in one national tournament doesnt entitle me to write a blog, I agree, and I purely use facebook to update friends irregularly of what im up to, so hardly a blog in the true sense. I still have a lot to learn about the game, I have already been introduced to the green eyed monster that tends to accompany success... to state that someone is a nob is a bit harsh imo and appreciate the balance being address by my learned Scottish friend!
I have a 3 hour round trip to play tournaments in Luton and play there on the advice of my trainer Graham Pound, as he feels that the quality of players there is generally of a good standard and that I can learn a lot and hone my poker skills there. I have played several GUKPT and GCBPT main events and have had relative sucess in these without cashing. Played EPT and WSOPE side events and several festivals at Luton and Brighton as well as the DTD deepstack at Nottingham about 6 or 7 times, always making day 2, before I finally cracked it. So i am not under any illusions that I am better than the majority of players who I play against in national tournaments. The recent cash and several people staking me means that I will be able to play about 6 tournaments over the next 2 months and I think after that I should be able to take stock of whether I am any good at this game or not. Because of the fact that I havent had an awful lot of experience of final tabels except at a local level, I have to say that I tend to be led by the other players and realised in retrospect that after 3 double ups I could easily have gone on to win the recent Luton £100 FO, but I did end up with £800 which I was not unhappy with. However after that experience, you will be pleased to know that I will no longer be doing deals with other players or for the bubble, unless like the DTD deal it is in my favour or you guys wish to trade league points for cold hard cash. I look forward to visiting you again soon and would like to finish on the fact that I do respect a lot of the player's games at the GCasino and you can be assured that I will not be calling anyone a nob even if I think it to myself. may the poker Gods be with you!

Duck-horses, horse-ducks and Semtex mini-explosions aside, tomorrow is gonna be a ridic busy one for updates.

Celtic (with the world) is still in the main event along with Xpressman, while G-Rodge, Sir Donkeys and Edna are still in the Omaha. Don't know about the rebuy yet or any savers.

Looks like Rockstar's fantasy league lead is about to be trimmed right back. The pressure is on...

SCRABBLE SCORE

Nirvana 221 - 392 Me

It should have been more too. I had the word P E N G U I N lined up but nowhere to put it. Then I noticed it could be added before C O O P, and for treble-word scorage. Penguincoop not in the OED though. Tez dictionary. Collin's Concise ordered off Amazon yesterday...

Game 1? That was the only game played imo, result as above. Ship. Hard to come back from 160-0 down v level 58 opposition.

Celtic took down the main event with Xpress in second. God knows how Chandra managed to donk off the stack he accumulated after winning a four-way all in to knock out me (kings), Rob Garfield (tens) and Fenland Paul (queens) with aces. Ten on the flop, ace on the river. Crazy stuff.

Georgey Michaelos also cashed, while Tom was still in the Omaha. Meh, too many names to sort out now, will wait for the official results in the morning.
