Binked a Seat in the £250 Omaha next Friday the 11th

Unfortunately it happens to be the other half's Birthday though

Any suggestions as to how i can keep a woman happy,and play this tourny?

Just tell her, "Corri's on tonight, there's a basket of washing wants ironing, the bog needs unblocking from that Balti I had last night - love you to bits, now I'm off up the G for the Omaha     ......      Happy Burfday Treacle, I'll see you at 4am for a 'wrestle', turrahhhhh."

A little subtle romance goes a long way in keeping the Enemy happy    ....

Tell her you've won the seat.  Say you'd like to play it and celebrate her birthday big style over the weekend instead, but that if she really wants to do something on Friday then you'll not play.  Then hope she doesn't call the bluff.

Such a shame thats what we now call Ian - but imo he seems to have an issue with the bottle.

I actually asked him to be quieter at the table as he was affecting my enjoyment of the game, to be fair he shut up but at the break he went and asked Marion what I had meant by that. Is it all part of him game play or is it the booze?
