Blimey, that news travelled quick. How the fkark did you find that out Celtdonk? Lovejoy? I do so enjoy watching KO'L play.

Meh, $150k left to play for, three short stacks, two biggies, me around average. Rised to 85k, nit bird insta-shoved for 500k. She only played AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AK, AQ. Whatever. I call. I lose whatever as it happens, as the board came AQXXX.

[ ] I run good at final tables
[ ] $5k eased the pain / empty feeling

Who is this Wheldon Wheldon player??

http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=45434

What a great 'American' name     .....    maybe Chompy's been adopted by the Wheldons of Wisconsin     ......

In view of his finishing position, perhaps he should be known as Wheldon Wheldon VIII

5th for me for a tidy £1120

Final table full of Luton regs, cant remember all the names but it was taken down by Pep

Tighty`s best mate George Michael finished 3rd, and the remaining 2 did an equal chop for the money (4k plus each)
Pep took the Champ of Champs seat after a 30 mins heads up battle

Tony de Luca finished 10th if memory serves,Polish Alex was 6th,will get the full results in a while and post them up

I like Pep,and good luck to him, but he made a call i just cant get my head around,Math or no Math i cant make this call

6 handed he`s chip leader(190k,ish),im equal 2nd in chips (117k,ish)

Im on the big blind, pep raises from 2nd position to 21k

Polish Alex snaps all in for 93k,i look down at KK

I move all in obv,my range on the FT has thus far has been AA twice,KK twice, and pocket 10`s once

Pep dwells for 5 minutes and makes a so called Math call with AK

Alex flips queens, and Pep flops an ace to win the world

Gutted

Anyhoo, blew it out my arse for ten minutes, necked 3 fosters in half hour, but had the good grace to shake Pep by the hand at the end and wish him well

Maybe proper players make that call all day long, well im shit so i cant call in that spot

Off for a full English and a bit of retail therapy, may play later if i stop sulking

well done to sir georgeous michael for a beautiful 18 fantasy league points, 200 mas notes looking promising.  I felt he was coming good there have been a lot of high cards on the flops lately at the g and i think 2 lucky dealers where on last night too, a winning combo imo.  Well done to rockstar glad to see you loosening up a bit wp.

Congrats Adrian and Brijesh.

As for the call he made - in his spot, with his chips and only having committed 21K to the pot ... plus two peeps now all - in, one of which is 2nd CL, I prob would have folded.

If I had less of a stack I would have shoved and prayed for the board that did come ;-)

I have spoken with Pep and as he isnt a member here he has asked me to clarify his thought process and some of the maths, not that he needs to justify anything imo.

The blinds were 3k - 6k and Pep opened to 21k, then the shove came for 93k total.

Rockstar then shoved in for 126k total.

So with about 250k in the pot Pep needs to call 105k more to scoop a pot for nearly 1/2 the chips in play. If he calls and loses he still had 125k remaining so 20 bbs for the final table.

So with getting 2.5 to 1 on making the call and having the chance to knock out 2 players giving him  over 1/2 the chips in play he decided the call is the right play. Believing neither player had AA or KK, he has to call
