Sigh - dead shattered, eyes hurt    .... but the lull of the 30 quid RB and scrabble are making me twitch .....


... besides, I have a scrabble dictionary here that I'm willing to donate (can't have CH10 MPY and MrDon'tThinkIdidn'tSeeYouLookInTheDictionaryBeforeYourGoWhilstIwasAtTheCoffeMachinePrew having any reason to win their games by refusing words that are soooo allowable obv.)


I predict Clairebear to win this league

I also predict CH10 MPY to develop an ulcer due to scrabble stress when it becomes apparent that his winning streak was only due to the fact he a) refuses to acjnowledge that ClawBird thrashed him legitimately and b) Celtic is now not allowed to help him by pointing out words he doesn't recognise which although Chimpy allowed and scored, two go's later decides to challenge and REMOVES from board .......   RULING, sigh.     Ridic.

7th place saver last night for me Tighty if you please

Johnny plum spent the first 3 hours of last night on his laptop, up by the sports bar playing some online jobby,came to the table and managed 3 hands in that time,winning them all.Everytime i get Luther nearly up to 3rd place in the fantasy comp,that bloody plums man goes and binks something or other,its war Johnson

Had a Russian guy at our table,had just flown in and was meeting his friend to head off to Tallinn for some Baltic tourny or other
He informed us he was sponsored for various poker events by stereotypical Russian gangster type, and his deal was to keep 40% of any winnings after ex`s.His deal was by far the best he had heard of,as the majority of his Russian poker friends are on just 20% of any profit
Furthermore,he is not allowed to play for himself at any other tourny without said gangster type`s permission,if granted,said gangster type keeps 80% of any winnings anyway
One of "Boris`s" friends made the mistake of playing cash with his sponsors money before he had handed it over recently he informed us,"He is Kaput,finished" said Boris,"Oh the deal he had is finished?",said i."No,he dissapeared from his home in Moscow last week" Boris said as cool as you like

I'd like to propose the following scrabble rules for all league games:

1. Words cannot be researched in the dictionary before being put down.
2. Any word can be challenged (within reason).
3. An incorrect challenge does not result in missing a go.
4. If a word is put down, is challenged and found to be incorrect, that player misses a go.
5. The official scrabble dictionary is gay and the Collin's Standard should be used.

Also, been thinking about this bonus chip thing in July.
Does it apply to all tournaments. For example, tonight's thing. Do early birds get 3000 and then 2x1500?
And if someone buys you in to the donkament in time, do you still get the bonus chips. Or do you have to physically be in the casino in order to qualify?

only after I said ... errr did I see you look in the dictionary just then

.... cough splutter yes yes Holdy,  this is a friendly game isn't it

and with the rulez in place for our friendly game I then proceed to help ya out place your final letters which I knew would take you over my score     .... an lo and behold it suddendly becomes a all out great victory on the Luton thread

yep rule 3 is ridic - if you're gonna have a challenge game there's got to be some penalty for incorrect challenges or you'll just keep challenging willy nilly.
