I know the £50 "Deep and Steep" got 76 runners. Every time I play it, which isn't that often, I say never again. It is the worst standard of play of the week, imo, with the most sullen group of randoms you could ever imagine. The structure is awful, its a push fest from about level 5 and I hate it.

33 runners for last night's £40+£20 in which the lesser spotted Alex Martin showed and proceeded to play every hand for an hour, hit most of them, bluff those he missed and generally cast assorted Luton regulars asunder with the flair of a Samurai swordsman fighting Imperial forces on the plains of 12th century Japan.

He eventually finished 3rd for 9 points.

Lets hope its another six months til he shows up. Different gravy.

He eventually finished 3rd for 9 points.
