Maybe that's the solution then, Rich.

When we don't like what's on 'offer'     .....        all turn up and start our own tournament!

Welcome welcome Hellmuth Jr Jr. Please feel free to tell the masses that only a genius would have been able to lay down the nut flush in the face of your constipation-dwell-raise.

If memory serves, you made it 4500 at 800-1600(100) with K hearts, J.
I called out of the BB with A hearts, 8. Both decent stacks.
Flop came 9 10 J all hearts. Check, bet, call.
Turn Q hearts. Check-check.
River Q. Stopper bet of 4200, raised to 14000 odd, fold.

Thought I probz had to bet the river. If I check and you check behind with, say, a straight, it's a chance missed by me.
If I check and you bet, say, 8000, I'm obliged to call.
I should have just lol-shoved  Folded pre prolly. Meh.

Hameed made a breathtakingly original play last night.

Playing about 7 x BB, he limps for 2k, Phil Hellmuth Raises it up to 7k, & Hameed snap-jams, Hellmuth makes the onligitory call.

Hellmuth A-Q, Hameed A-9!

He binked, too.

Future reproduction of matter contained within the official tournament report - clearly not studied in this case - will lead to point deductions.

Re: the hand with Jamie in level 2. Knew he had AQ diamonds, just knew it! Or 22...
It actually went, me 325 @ 50-100, Jamie 1000 on the button. I can't pass 35 clubs out of position so smooth rim.
Flop 10 6 3.
Me check, Jamie 1050, me smooth rim.
Turn 7 diamonds, putting up two diamonds. Check check.
River K spades. Check, 3000. Call.

How you can assume that I would have AQ diamonds I am the TPIL (excluding Tikay). No way could you put me on that re-raising you pre-flop. After that episode you owe me about 5 beers and cheap stays at The Wynn have just gone up!!

BIG welcome to Mr Hellmuth!

PLEASE change your alias to "Hellmuth" - we've called you that (& far worse) for a long time. "Twerp" is a nick which is reserved for someone else, to be honest. Wink

Good to see you here, & ul with that "Move of the Century" (the -9 v -Q affair) by Hameed.

Should you need advice on dancing & stuff, Chomps & Sicilidonk are your men. Advice on nursing 3 x BB & on cashing consistently, I'm your man.

Don't engage with him. It was truly the worst play I've ever seen. "I can guarantee he has A-Q" were his words, completely failing to realise you had a medium pair.

I've rarely seen your hand played so brilliantly.

The Juice on last night's £10 Rebuy was FOUR QUID!

Anyway, a bunch of us decided to withdraw, & have a £25 fun SNG, ended up with 11 Runners.

I bubbled, marv, Orford was massive Chip-Leader 3 handed, but got Danish'd, & Liu Helicopter Chinook was 2nd.

Lisa-Marie & Tighty engaged in anecdotal pleasantries all evening. She never once enquired after Chompy either, I note.

Mr Sir Donksalot - you had JJ that hand isn't it. And it was an extra 2000-odd after investing about 2000-odd. Could've got more out of me too with better play. I had the mighty 9 6 off and the flop came 6 2 2.

Mr Hellmuth Jr Jr - The board defo came Q 10 3 5 4. I was trying to knock you off A10 with my majestic river push. Another outstanding read on the night. You're right about the three clubs and checkage on the turn though. And you were also right when you commented that I always have a massive hand when I go all in, despite the chucklage from the veteran to my left.

Mr JCNev - Outplayed...

Blah dee Blah dee boring - Plumsy's biography is more sleep inducing than five Mogadon    zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Was surprised the watford wailer didnt show after his very minor binkage online at the weekend.

Did you not manage a miserable 3rd (in addition to your - usual - 'bubble placing'), David?

You're improving.   ..........

i dont understand what the problem is with the 4 pound juice i wouldve quite happily paid a fiver last night, they have to try and cover some of their expenses.

25 pound sit n go, average player spend = 25 + 5 registration

10 pound rebuy, average player spend = 33 + 4 registration

I think the general point Dave is that there has been an upward creep, in fact an upward march, in reg fees without any improvement in the service offered alongside that

Of course back in the old days they'd charge £10+£1 reg and no one is expecting that any more, and of course we want dealers and nice facilities etc etc, and there is a poker tax to pay for and some of that has to be passed on

but to see a £10+1 become a £10 plus 4 in 3 years and a £50+5 become a £50+£6.50 etc etc when the attitude of the room to its poker punters is at best lukewarm and at worst unprofessional grates to be frank

Stop closing the poker room for comedy/salsa nights, start putting on comps we want, have a better website, market the national leagues better, market the regular comps better to get more runners, add value, put guarantees on, innovate with new ideas etc and the increase in reg fees would be far more justifable IMO

It's all so stale, and to see 40% reg charge given that is a bit off, frankly.

i think closing the poker room on a thursday night is a bad bad idea - i work full time (as im sure others do to) so thursday night is the one "school night" i can out to play and then just mong through work on the friday - if they have to closethe poker room surely they would be better off doing it on a night earlier on in the week?
