Dave Robinson would be a good future fantasy league pick if only he played more at the G and less down the road. Steady and methodical is our Dave. Nice and grindy. Much like the horse he used to own, Quick, who was downright badly named. Slow or Ploddy would have been better. Used to love him in-running, grinding it out over three miles round Cheltenham in the mud after getting whipped for his life as soon as they jumped away.
Anyway, Dave won it last night, with Rockstar managing consecutive binkage in sixth (5pts).

Nah, I'm swerving it tonight, as I'm working Online.
I'm still black & blue from Monday's Tourney, which lasted less than an hour, after everyone outplayed me, even the Dealer on the next Table bluffed me off a winner, & I folded J-J to Vinni's 8-3 on a K-Q-7 flop. I then played Q-Q as bad as bad can be, shoving for like 900xxBB's pre, & getting looked up by A-K which had smoothed an EP Raiser! This was in Level One. I went home dizzy.
Might pluck up the courage to return on Thursday, or Sunday.
GREAT fun though, & the craic at Luton makes the travelling worthwhile. It's more a social occasion than anything else, & it pays a nice little Pension, too.

By the bye, an interesting newcomer appeared over at Sky Poker a few nights back whilst I was playing a few nice relaxed Omaha Hi-Lo Tables with a friend or two & some randoms. We do it most nights after the Tourneys have finished.
Most of the players there are fairly inexperienced at Hi-Lo & just play it like 4 card Hold-Em. You just need to be patient & pick them off.
This player then arrived, & the whole Table Dynamic changed. It was clear he knew EXACTLY what was going off, & started getting a bit lairy with it, bluffing & all sorts. At Hi-Lo. And I'm thinking, YBA.
Eventually he says in the chat-box "you remember who I am tikay, yes?".
Well, I hear or see that line ten times a night, & I never have a clue. One guy said "I'm the bloke who bust your A-K with nines after I re-Raised you pre & you shoved on me in the 2003 UK Open".
"Yeah, right, I remember that, m8".....
Anyway, my friend turned out to be none other than Appu.
The Table broke an hour or so later, one geezer had pulled up 6 times, & the proceeds had been shared out, leaving just Appu & me at the Table, both nicely caked up. "No point continuing, is there" says he, & I agreed, so we upped stumps.
Dunno where that tale came from. I'll get me coat. And scarf.

Better than my push with Q-Q, to be sure!
As I said, the world & his wife outplayed me, marv.

As the league starts to wind down - yep folks, this could be the end of the road (maybe) - we'll be bringing in a few new bits'n'pieces to spice things up. A sort of league advent calendar.
A bit like when the useless Scrappy Do was brought in to boost the ratings for Scooby Doo, or when Godzuki came in because Godzilla's popularity was flagging. That type of thing.
Anyway, first up, a lot of leaguers are gonna be playing the £5 rebuy on Sunday, inc. G-Rodge no doubt, but many more in the pipeline. So it's going to be...(drum roll please)...
Not just double but...
TREBLE POINTS UP FOR GRABS (treble bonus points also)
So, come on down. See the mighty D'Artagnan slowroll, gasp in amazement at stripey shirt's...stripey shirt. Sit there quietly like it's the world series. I'll be there. Treble points too good a chance to miss as I bid to gub Sir Donksalot on the line on 31 December.
Xmas starts here everyone! TREBLE points!

Will be an interesting sunday.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Fantasy league scores will NOT be trebled this Sunday. Normal scoring on there.

Seriously? triple points for the 5er rebuy?
Another ridic decision by you, so unfair to the players that can't make it.
The leaague used to be good, but you have fked it up too much this year.
Hope you give it up at the end of the year.
