76 runners for Wankers Wednesday and boy was that ever aptly named

Well done to Pizzled, Poker Monkey Claw and Nirvana for the finals


Not so well done to the clown who wore a bobble hat throughout proceedings, told the table he was mentally retarded and proceeded to "mistakenly" thrown in 4000 when he "meant to" raise to 400, 6500 when he meant to raise to 650 etc on five seperate occasions, eyes darting around hoping his angle shoot would get looked up/shoved on.


I think if I do return more frequently it will be Mondays and Thursdays when the craic is better (Sounding like a Drainy broken record here, never go to Wankers Wednesday again...oh look here I am playing Wankers Wednesday!)

it's been a while since i've been along to wanker's wednesday and it certainly lived up to it's moniker with some very colourful characters there last night including a boy of about 13 sporting some wonderful bum fluff (I resisted the urge to tell him movember finished some time back) who spent the best part of an hour trying to explain to a very drunken and playing-dumb pizzled the difference between a 2 bet, 3 bet, 4 bet etc.  At one point when Gav made a massive overraise he advised him he'd be 'better off making it "4 ex"'.  Dunno how he didn't final tbh.

Highlight for me three tables out was a huge three way all-in pre with    vs  vs  , binking a 2 and dodging 20 odd bullets on the river - wheee.  proper skill game that WW.

Oh dear! It's only the final table that counts, not where you are in July or some shit, and it's all change at the bottom of the table as those six bonus points do the job for Nirvana.
After a stint dancing on the bar on Tuesday, it's bad news for Piper Perabo I'm afraid, as he drops to the foot. Retirment beckons.
Also, happy birthday to Clawbird in seventh (9pts), and to pizzed-up Pizzled in third (15pts).

Fun  night, saw some extraordinary pokerz and then saw Gavin amass about 1/3rd of the chips in play about 5 levels in - he may have been drunk but when yr suave and debonnaire, who cares really :-)

In a way I was free rolling from the time I saw this hand play out - it gave me such an enormous sense of well being that all other considerations later on were totally  irrel.

Blinds 300-600 - shorty playing a stack of around 5000 limps for 600 UTG + 1, two limpers behind mean we have a pot of around 3000 or so. Flop T 3 2, UTG+1 shoves his 4400 or so in the middle and settles back ready to scoop, but no, next to act calls with his FD.

Turn 5, shorty goes further ahead,with his T5 off booooooooo - river heart & mateyboy scoops with his flush - unlucky UTG + 1, your creative play, steely good looks and fearlessness nearly TID.

Anyway, in one's best Loyd Grossman voice - who plays a hand like this ? Arf Arf !
