canaries in winter ?

anybody been to the canaries in january ?
looking to get away for some sunshine after christmas, but debating where to go. only can manage to get away for a week, so although caribbean sounds lovely, the inevitable jetlag seems like a pain in the arse for a weeks holiday.
various weather sites suggest average temperature of about 20 C, which seems ok, if a little on the low side of what we are looking for.
really just looking for anyones real life experiences, or if they have an alternative suggestion, then lets hear it...

Yep nice if your like me and don't like it too hot. the southern part of tenerife is often cloudy though. Lanzarote can be a bit windy, that's why the windsurfers like it. Good time to go IMO.......

Yes - but don't go if you are a beach lover, not only is it not the greatest sand but as soon as that wind blows off the sea you are covered in sand that sticks to your recently sun creamed body - yuck!

Traditionally as a passing football team we have often struggled in the winter months as the pitches get worse.

Was there (Lanzarote/Fuerteventura) beginning of Feb last year, it was hot in the day and perfectly pleasant at night.

I have used
http://www.lanzluxuryvillas.com/
many times for winter sun. Low 20s, still pretty pleasant. If the wind is low, no problems lying around. When the wind picks up, once you get out the pool you won't want to hang around outside. The pools are heated, the villas are very well kitted out and sensibly priced.
Playa Blanca prolly the best resort, rent a car.
£1k gets you this:
£500 gets you this:
