Id like to ask a favour for any greyhound enthusiast please.  A friend of mine has asked me if I can find any info on the dogs at Coventry tonight as he is going. I don't follow the sport but I know we have some very good judges here so I was hoping if anyone had something to bet in then they could do me a favour and post it.  Thank.

Hey, looked at the card this morning, just after a few thoughts?

Off on a driving lesson, will post up a few bits afterwards (c.4:30pm)

Yes please Scotty, anything helpful would be great and much appreciated.  Good luck with the driving Smiley

Funny story, was my 29th birthday the other day and mother tricked me into thinking I had a dentist appointment, turns out when I left for dentist it was my first ever driving lesson. Twelve years after I should have started!

Anyway, it's the Golden Muzzle first round heats, no real strong views but some thoughts below.

Heat 1 @ 8:30 - I think Racy Thunder is worth a small bet from trap 4 @ 11/4. Glenpadden Bolt is the favourite but is too inconsistent for my liking and not being known for early pace it will leave him chasing straight off the bat. Racy Thunder has been in good form and traps well, that coupled with the second fastest time at Coventry this year makes him worth a bet, should make all.

Heat 2 @ 8:45 - Bridge Ruth is 4/5 for a reason, good bitch. Hoping she falls out, finds trouble and Tyrur Bandit at 25/1 can get his usual break and times of c.29:50s can win minor opens.

Heat 3 @ 9:00 - Think T4 Swords Jacko breaks and wins but not for me at 7/4.

Heat 4 @ 9:15 - Competition favourite in T1, Droopys London, but at 1/2 is pretty boring - if the other races had went well I'd go with Airlie Impact, the other class dog in the race, in the hope he shows up well on his first look @ 4/1.

Heat 5 @ 9:30 - I'm on Millwards Matt antepost at 50/1 and backing him in this race too for small stakes in what is a tough race. Not guaranteed to see out the trip but should get an early advantage out wide with some inside bunching looking possible.

Heat 6 @ 9:45 - Adageo Bob is the favourite but I think the trip might be a touch short and T5 Millstreet Lady is a pinger who should take all his early running space. I hope Millstreet Lady can qualify as I've got a few pennies at 50/1. Trap one might be the play in this race.

Cliffs: No strong fancies, probably NAP T4 Racy Thunder in the 8:30 and NB Swords Jacko in the 9pm.

Regardless of the result the time you took to write your thoughts was much appreciated.  You'll get the lot back and more next time Smiley

Can you watch BAGS meetings online anywhere?

A mate has got a runner tomorrow and I don't fancy the long trek into town to watch it!

I've watched a dog race on bet365 before after having a bet on it, not sure how many races they cover that way.  Someone else might have more information for you

Scotty

What do you think of Farloe Warhawk for the Laurels, PP have priced up at 9/2?

Hey Omm, sorry just seen this and hadn't had a chance to look at the competition until today. Have went in on Eden Star @ with WH, I think it is a fantastic price.

Very evenly matched with Warhawk who is 10/3 best now, and Calzaghe Davy who is the second fave is off to the vet with a neck niggle according to reports today. Despite his 3rd place in the opening round he still recorded a good sectional and has a crazy fast 4:18s split and 27:37s trial from a couple of months back. His recent Belle Vue stuff was faster than Warhawk's too. I'm not sure what his price was pre-comp but he's definitely drifited and seems like an over-reaction.

Semis tonight, let's go Eden Star!

7/4 is a great price tonight is it not? Good luck, the 8-1 will be looking good after the race.

Warhawk and Calzaghe Davy, who were ahead of Eden Star in the market, were both eliminated too. Jaytee Lightning ran the fastest time of the semis but Eden Star has him for early.

Scott,

Am at the Hove meeting this evening, if you get a minute, can you recommend anything, please?

My pin is a bit blunt.

Thank you.

No worries Scott, I survived.

I left my pin at home, & borrowed Lord Grumpy's spider, who was in remarkably good form.

One race stood out, though it was just a regular A3 graders jobbie.

Trap 4, Lisdhu Bridge, a fully exposed Sep '10 Dog, with 24 graded races under his belt (5 wins, 1 x 2nd) , had won an A5 on Wdnesday by a runaway 7 lengths, running a PB, & was double penalised with a jump up to A3 tonight. Remarkably, he repeated the feat tonight. I never noticed his official winning distance, but it must have been close to 7 lengths again. He is trained by Wayne Wrighting.

The Grader will be a tad cross with him for that I suspect. A2 awaits.
