Good night I guess. Smashed the prices on all 3 and binked the NAP.

Goes without saying...... Too good.

Can we get a greyhound staking thread, better than putting it in an ISA.

Funnily, redarmi helped me out one time with some staking but I got the strategy all wrong and it went tits up. Not really "funnily" but you see what I mean.

Try getting £600 on bob in the last at 4/6 with bet365 and see what happens to your account?

I do wonder how firms went 8/11 this morning bob.  Last twice it's gone off 4/5.  Why would u go 8/11 tonight when it's literally got nothing to beat like it has had the last twice?  It was obviously going to go off 1/2 or shorter but you can't get real money on these prices.

Cant ever be backing a 1/2 shot in a dog race, I'd probably end up with a loser in a 1 dog race if it were 2's on so I have fired £12 each on the 4/5

Why if it should be a 1/4 shot?  Why can't u take 1/2?  Doesn't make any sense.  Backing a 1/4 shot at 1/2 is a better bet than backing a 2/1 shot at 11/4.  You would be all over the last bet so why not the first bet?

Just can't bring myself to do it, I really wish I could.  When I see you putting up big odds on shots on TFT I think go do it, and then yltimately bottle it.    State of mind I guess.  Had I got on at the earlier price I would have.

In all seriousness there is def lots of value on offer for most of the OR meetings a few times a week, we can certainly get more of it if we keep the thread going and are willing to put the work in.

plenty of value for sure in theory but have you tried to actually get real money on these early prices for proper amounts ?  It's literally impossible.  If anyone has had a 3 figure bet on scottys 3 selections at the early prices with the same firm tonight with any firm online i virtually gtd your account will be restricted tomorrow for dogs.

Fair enough comment, but surely being smart about it is best, nicking a few quid everyday to boost the bankroll rather than trying to get rich quick, spreading it around when best prices are with a few firms works. I def don't bet at the hundreds level my max would be about £60, however I've been nicking at least £200 a week for the last 4 weeks and if that carrys on and keeps the dog column in the green and accounts open long term I'm happy.

I understand what you mean.  It's definitely a mindset.  The thing about gambling is every event is on a probability line between 0-100% of happening.  I know this is obvious but if you think about it like this as long as the price you are backing implies the event is less likely to happen than the event actually is there it makes no difference at all what price you are backing.  You are trying to win EV on every bet not actually back winners.

I think the fact the vast majority of my day to day stuff involves laying dogs between evens and 6/1 (effectively i am backing the field between 1/6 and evens) so most of my bets are effectively odds on.  It blurs out the fact you are betting odds on every bet and just get on with it.

You can change it over time.  I have got Redarmi backing 1/3 shots ew on the horses now using the same mindset.  He used to hate backing odds on shots the same as you.

Scotty/Arbboy if u get a chance have a look at the form on 21:02 at Sittingbourne, Eric's Gav is running at 3-1, we backed this at 9/4 and it won at evens last time out, Scotty put it up, T1 and T6 look fast dogs. Right price for the race?

never play at sittingbourne.  Awful track.  Full of dodgy on course layers.  Never any cash in the bf markets for their bags meetings.  I will pass.  Never had a run or trial at the track.  Wouldn't be that keen to back it at those prices.
