Bob is virtually in the 2nd round already.  Drawn 6 with a kipper in 5 and t4 is a middle runner who he beats every other week by half the track he will get a solo and do what he does every Friday night.  He won't be 3/1 after the first round that's for sure.

He must be 1/20 to qualify from this heat.

Ice cream question...how many rounds are there?
Is this worth a trip around the PP shops at 3/1?

3 rounds i assume. 36 into 18 (3 qualify from each heat tomorrow) then 3 semis (2 qualify) then final.

Feel like I'm being a little speculative/punty with these Champion Stakes heats and I don't recommend anyone follows me in.

In heat 1 I've went for Golden Donaire, available at 10/1. Benkaat Nero is the fave but unless he has significantly improved then his Romford form isn't great with only one (of 3) runs under 36secs. The RP comment "Red vest can only help his cause" is super debatable given he has missed the break and been slow away from there in 2 of his 3 runs from the trap here. Chicago could be really good and the feeling is that 575 could suit but I prefer to take a chance with Golden Donaire at the prices. Needs a bit of trouble but is in career best form and will be staying on best.

Hometown Day is another speculative one in trap 5 of the third heat. Can see potentially inside drama between Razor and Paul which would slow their progress, and even if Razor leads Paul I don't think he'll stop Hometown Day leading and as I mentioned last week Blonde Razor is a dog who rarely likes to go past. Bubbly Gold looks like a decent favourite but may have to come through a fair few dogs. Hometown Day has Johnny Buoy on his outside, just like last week and I see no reason why Day doesn't lead him again. Hometown is another 10/1 shot but can lead and from the front he wins the race a fair few times.

Droopys Sprinter was one I was interested in seeing but drawn in Bob's heat.

I'm still weighing up having an each way bet on Steves Dream in the outrights as I like that 12.5/1 EW part. I think he's backable at 5/1 for the heat too - so consistently good early, he looks sure to build up a quick advantage and there is potential inside trouble which aids the case.

Goodluck, agree on Steves Dream, ive had a chunk at 5-1 for tonight, hope he continues after last week and doesn't revert back to falling through the floor in the home straight, think he will be right for tonight. Like Hather George in 20:02 ' 7/2 (Got Chicago outright but want to see its first run) Think it beats T6 out the traps and if he traps better than against Bob it'll be right in the mix (Cover on yours naturally) Controversially im Laying Airport Captain, think T3 causes him trouble by going for the rail and T5 Farley Rio will scoop the lot @ 4-1 ive had a score and im putting T4 in for the forecast. Playing live tonight so will be watching from ipad and get on thread when i can. Goodluck all.

Love dog racing, so many ways to interpret a race, Scotty has mentioned my Fav Bubbly Gold coming through a lot of dogs, which he usually has to do and has found a few too good to get passed, that being said nobody expected him to trap the way he did against Exocet, unfortunately he came up against a dog at the peak of his form and he couldn't get passed but I don't think he lost much in defeat, for me if he does that tonight which from T4 he will like as he def runs the middle then it wins, 2-1 is available in one place, Hills,  and I have loaded up (£70) as I think he will go off on BF less than this. I'm also on ante post at 14-1 which is now gone, but 12's is available and I think that 10's is nearer the right price which is only a few pound off on BF. I keep thinking (maybe more hoping which might be clouding my judgement) that this dog is capable of more, tonight we will find out.
