It was perfect, but one of best contacts really really fancied the jolly and I didn't want to put up a horse which I didn't think was a decent value bet for the win portion (I priced it up at 7/2; sp 2/1) Sorry  ah, I see. The bigger the drift the more value you get on the place part of the bet. The horse drifted from 5-2 to 7-2 but its place odds only went from 1.33 to 1.37. Hence why bookies hate these bets.

Meh the 33-1 shot ran a blinder to place. No matter as they can't all win/place.
Def a bet that will make a profit long term anyway, the place part was worth about double the price offered in that market on betfair. Keep em coming keith please! Over a long period of time this could help every1 make a tidy profit.
