This match is fuckin class already

Lewis 111 v Taylor 106

Taylor just sneaked that set.

Still very happy about my bet so far.

Did I miss something in the last set.  Taylor needs 125 - hit's bull - 10 - 15 to leave 50.  Scoreboard suddenly changes to 40?

The score board didn't change to 40, it was still 50, we just missed him hitting the Fat 10 before throwing for double top

I can only assume Taylor miss counted when he had 65 left and went for 15

After watching this game (Taylor currently 4-0 up), Ive come to the conclusion that Darts, and darts betting is shite, and will be shite till Taylor retires.

There is no doubt the guy is a true world class player and we will never see a player like him again, but if he is unstoppable, then there is no point betting anyone else in the tourney, no matter the price. 100/1 on a player with Lewis's Talent is just ridic price, yet its still short due to taylor.

The thing with Golf is that when a big tourney starts you can get some class players at huge prices, and usually one or two run close and a good few times scoop. this is not the same with Darts.

as for darts not being the same till he retires, look at some of the games we have seen this week that taylor hasn't been involved in, they have been nail biting, edge of the seat material, yet when it comes to taylor's matches its just sit back and wait for a white wash as you know whats coming, i don't get excited by his game now-a-days. If he wasn't there, every Set, every Match, every tourney would be edge o f the seat material.

For me this would be better IMHO

The sad thing is i can't see taylor retiring or slipping for 5-7 years yet.

Note: No franny this is not sour grapes for losing my 100/1 shot lol  Wink

Cant agree with you Dave.  Some of the best matches have involved Taylor losing and because of Taylor you can get some incredible EW shots that do come good.

I remember being on James Wade at 200/1 to win his comp where he came through.  The game where Taylor lost to Barney was just awesome to watch.  He has been beaten a few times this year and I still think Whitlock has a squeak of a chance against Taylor.

Not sure Harry Findlay would agree with you Dave with his £110k on Taylor tonight @ 2/11 being an absolute cakewalk.

Taylor/Barney double pays 4/5 on Betfair now.

Tempting. I know Barney has his problems, but he always gets the job done and is 13-1 lifetime against Baxter, 8-0 in matches over first to 3 sets.

Im not gona brag about tipping a 4/5 shot up, but 5-0, 5-0 was pretty impressive by the boys.

Now whether to put all the profit on Barney again 2moro night, Whitlock has been absolutely brilliant, but 2.34 on Barney after he won 5-0 tonight and hes not playing Taylor. hmmm.

Simply don't bet on the outright market and Taylor games.
As Blatch says if you bet the likes of Whitlock ew at the begining then you are getting a lot better price because of Taylors price.
As I told you a fortnight ago it doesn't matter what Lewis did leading upto the game v Taylor, it's all about whether Taylor plays or not and 99 times out of 100 he will.
Lewis still doesn't have it to get close to the Master, look at the double he missed to take the first set, yo have to ask yourself would Taylor of missed it?
I lost count of the amount of times took a leg with his last Dart when Lewis was waiting to pounce.

Taylor takin that 81 out to win the first set was a massive blow for Lewis.

Understand what your saying, but still think it would be a much better sport, if he was less of a player or retired (or if the other players were as good as him, which ain't going to happen) i just prefer a leveller playing field for some action

I know he has put darts on the map these past 5 years or so.

BDO starts tomorrow I have a decent record over the past few years in this so expect my outright bets to be out before the quarters, very open market Dave if you want a punt in the outrights.
Fancy a couple of outsiders tomorrow...
Robson and Bunting both around 6/4.

Don't understand why the money has came for Ian White, went from 100/1 to as low as 16/1 in places and it seems to be because of Lewis ramping him last week, been averaging in the 80's of late in county matches but matching Lewis when practising together in his loft.
Robson is a big scorer tho does sometime struggle to hit his doubles. The count like most Champs of the BDO has struggle the past 12 months as seen of late at the GSOD.
Will bet the winner of the Chisnall/Fitton game in the outrights, also Waites is in good form (beat Whitlock at the GSOD and Anderson when he was playing very well) and has a decent draw, shouldn't get troubled too much until the semi's when he could come up against Wolfie.
