Easy to relate to this article

http://www.metro.co.uk/lifestyle/894972-richard-herring-amy-pond-has-five-days-left-to-convince-me-to-marry-her

Best quote from it:

Quote
This isn't just a deluded infatuation of a middle-aged man terrified of facing reality. I am deeply and truly in love with Amy Pond. Not the actress who plays her – she looks like a nightmare. I am in love with the character of Amy Pond. I am prepared to marry the actress but only if she'll stay in character for the entire marriage.

Loved the departure of Amelia Pond. Pretty Sad. New companion seems good though. Hate these mini type series's though!

Wouldnt say that personally, cant beat the daleks imo, but they do scare the living daylights out of me!

Didnt know Amy and Rory were leaving till today. Really happy with the replacement though, Jenna Louise Coleman was awesome in Asylum of the Daleks. Cant wait for it!

Good episode. Sad to see the Ponds go. Rory is awesome. I'm not a massive fan of the Amy character but Karen Gillan more than makes up for that.

I like the Weeping Angels but I think they were by far at their best in Blink years ago.

Do we know if there's any relevance to the fact the intro was different colours in each episode?

Excellent last episode - scary, funny and very sad.

[quote}Jenna Louise Coleman was awesome in Asylum of the Daleks. [/quote]

+1 watched it thinking 'She would make a great assistant'

Sister made me laugh today when talking about Oswyn being the new assistant - "but shes been turned into a Dalek. How can she be an assistant". I'm guessing the Doctor having a time machine might be able to snatch her just before that happens.

So tilting.. Why is everything set in the USofAcross the pond these days??

huge YUK!!

Plus, did anyone shed a tear?? Anyone? You'd think that enough time and adventure had passed to squeeze one out for Amy right?? Wrong.. Just like this doctor, and the script... and the new chuffing opening sequence...

That being said I loved the whole 'Doctor Who' tie in at the end of episode one.. plus I've always loved the Angels - even though they were at their nut best in blink

I for one am really looking forward to the new companion, I was really impressed by her at the first outing and it will do the Doctor good to have a fellow genius round the place..

Finally, kindly gfto mini-series.. Its just not British!!!

Not going to put any spoilers in here for those who have not caught it yet, however..

Just bravo.  Tremendous finale, IMO the strongest one of the modern series.  Roll on the 50th.

I had assiduously avoided any spoilers for this series, so when that thing happened at the end I was literally (and I used that word 100% correctly) gobsmacked.

I smacked my gob.

Just fantastic.

The only downside is that it worked so perfectly, and fitted in with so much other stuff, that the whole Clara thing seemed so inconsequential in comparison.

So looking forward to the 50th now - my concern is that 45 min is not going to be enough.

Gutted Matt's leaving. Really started to enjoy him as the Doctor. Lets just hope JLC stays on!

Cannot wait for the 50th, David Tennant is literally my favourite actor in anything ever so will be awesome to see him back Smiley
