This reminds me of Beckham to LA Galaxy.
He must be gutted that it was the only move available to him when he's still meant to be in his peak.

Depends if Spurs want rid of him (Redknapp not his biggest admirer AFAIK). Then the decision is a) sell him in the same league, but he can come back and haunt you or b) sell him for less but he's gone from the league. (I think this was the decision Spurs had to take yesterday).

Also depends if he does a Bellamy - loves his time at Celtic but in the end the top wage isn't comparable - or decides he's rich enough to afford the cut in wages to play where he's likely to be worshipped.

Might be just the thing for Keane, as he hasn't been the same player confidence wise since he came back from Liverpool.

Can Celtic afford him? No

Can Dermot Desmond afford him? Yes

Do Spurs still have an interest in Scott Brown?

I understand what has been said elsewhere about Celtic taking a huge risk with so many changes in such short time, but at the same time, if we didn't change we were definitely not going to win the league, whereas now we've at least given ourselves a chance.

The added bonus is that we've cut out a huge amount of deadwood from the squad, which was packed with average players.

The last few home games have been pay at the gate, for the first time in probably a decade. Can't see selling tickets for the rest of the season being a problem.

Robbie Keane is on his way back to Tottenham next week - he was only on loan till the end of Celtic's season...

Your timescales are a little off, celtic's season ended last Tuesday night not next week.

you can still get 7/2 on celtic winning the league (4/1 with BF), Im on @ 7/2 for £50 now

Cos i think we will still win the league, the line above about celtic's season ending last Tuesday is what other's think, not me.

We will win both remaining Old Firm games, meaning we are only 4 points behind, once this happens Rangers will panic and drop the remaining points to give us the league.

Keane/Kamara/McGeady will cruise this league, once the Gel.

A small part of me thinks tho, that if Celtic fail to win the league or Scottish Cup, would Keane stay for another season??? Surely he doesn't want to think back to his time at the team he ahs dreamed of playing for since he was 5 years old with no memories of a medal or a winning team??

If thats the case, Rangers can have this league if it secures Keano's future with the Bhoy's!
