A good reason to buy your tickets online - you can't lose them!  Got to feel for the Scot who has not claimed their prize of £3,681,197!

What happens to these unclaimed prizes, isn't it 180 days you have to claim.

Edit: Just read it goes to good causes.

wasnt there a story of a guy that baught a ticket on day release and scooped the jackpot but had to go back to jail but they wouldnt let him have it or something when he got released because he was a sex offender and they thought it would increase his chances of re-offending, it was a high profile case i think but i cant exactly remember what it was about? it was a few years ago.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1577026/Lotto-rapist-sex-attack-victim-wins-right-to-sue.html

"Hoare, 59, was jailed for life in 1989 for the attack on Mrs A and spent 16 years in prison before winning £7 million on Lotto Extra while on day release late in 2004"

It's not in that article but there was some legal thing about them not letting him keep it when he was released as it would help him to leave the country which would break the conditions of his release or help him offend again, why he told them that he'd won it i dont know but obv they let him keep it.
