The river is an overbet, people dont overbet thats as simple as it gets- not sure if people missed this or not

Obviously people do overbet... the question is why this people is doing it. Value with SB's wet dream of flopping two pair and turning the house, or something much less.

blind v blind in a limped pot that has been checked down people overbet probably 1 in 100 times- hence why folding is better than raising but calling is better than both as we do beat SOME of villains value betting hands and obv any bluffs he has- cant be bothered explaining more so will leave it there

I would not be raising the river here.

Why not?

River smashes hero's range, hero almost always has an ace and opponent bets so can probably therefore beat an ace. If he knows his bet looks strong, he will fold hands that we beat to a raise. He never folds better than T7.

whaaaatt?

as played call river, with reads (like this guy isnt a spaz that thinks 7x is the nuts, we can raise fold, kinda pains me that we only got 1 bet (albeit an overbet) with this hand on this board, in position bvb)

if u dont bet the flop how u dont bet the turn is beyond me, myriad of draws he will deffo call with.

fish overbet later streets when they have missed out on value in prior streets. I think his line is pretty strong and more likely to already have made a hand than to have paired the river. Unless he has A8 which makes sense too.

agree with all this.. i think i thought he would be more likely to bet himself with a draw - when he checked the turn I  just figured him for over cards, or Ax type hand.. obv I should be betting tho and just mangled it
