The "Be Creative FML" Thread.....
«
on:

...has been Deleted at the OPs request.
The OP stated that it started as a fun thread but he added, & I quote, "I turned it a bit over the line".
No problem, we've all done daft things.

Yeah was started as abit of fun for a student who "cant cook wont cook" and with the help of you lot I have a few good ideas for Sunday now. I posted some topless/underwear pics of said girl which I shouldn't of, and also a pic of her "4/10" housemate that needed a date to induce Trigg. The pics were definitely posted in a way that wasn't meant to offend anyone.

I'm failing to see any reason for deleting. a lighthearted thread that never got heated despite some disagreements. the only bit that was deemed out of order was posted with permission and then deleted. weird

I would pick up on one thing mentioned that it has got a bit "laddish"
I genuinely dont think that is the case - yes the occasional thread does, but there are a lot of young men on here. There are also lots of good news threads (bobbys baby) and the like, and the same characters join in on those too.
I think you have a great blend here and on the whole it is well Modd'ed, but i think this "blondes changed" mentality has to stop. Everything evolves, providing you keep within some perameters, evolution is a good thing.
You have some exceptional players representing this site now, both online and live, many of whom are very young and many of whom support the blonde cause. They should be encouraged and welcomed just like the original clan and all get along in harmony IMO.
just thinking out loud!

I've already agreed with the thrust of that, in general terms, this afternoon. It was on the Thread which the OP wrote to me & requested we Delete.
And we are hunky-dory with laddish stuff, old peeps stuff, & most stuff in between.
But there are some lines we don't want to cross, & as the OP has now acknowledged, this one was fine at first, but just morphed into pure bad taste.
Young & old have different tastes, but someone has to consider the feelings of others, too, & that's me, the "jobsworth".

If you're referring to Claw, it's not her fault the thread got deleted.
This is as a result of 2 mod fails. 1st being giving pleno permission to post a link to a topless pic of his bird (with the inherent implication that said irl woman was not aware of this) and the 2nd being to delete the 10 page pretty decent thread. If it's kicking off and descending into a flame war then fair enough but it wasn't.
When a thread gets that big, it's not just up to the OP whether it gets deleted or not. Other people took time out of their day to contribute, and it evolved into side issues and tangents and wot not (as all blonde 10 page threads do)
Mods know this and I wonder if mistake #2 is just a handy way for them to cover themselves having made mistake #1.

Permission wasn't granted as such - it was a decision I made independently, and looking back probably wasn't wise.
I posted the link saying the photo wasn't blonde compliant and placed a warning that it was NSFW. This was discussed by several mods and then I removed the link.

Ironic that the title of the thread was Be Creative...FML
That's exactly how I feel having made posts on the thread only to see it being deleted in it's entirity for no good reason. (as convienient as it may be to cover kinboshis epic mod fuck up)

Sigh we have to put up with Kin posting nonesense day in, day out. Then he gets slaughtered for posting pics of a topless woman. Something isn't quite right here.

Mr Tank! I get all manner of things wrong, but I've been the one saddled with Modding this, & I've never needed to do "cover up", ever. If I was wrong, fine, I'll put my hands up, as I always have & always will - making a mistake is not a big deal to me.
So I don't need a "handy" way to cover anything up.
Kinboshi has Posted as he sees fit - that's a statement of facts. He made a mistake imo, but it's not a hanging offence, he makes hundreds of Mod decisions, a few are bound to be wrong. I have no need to "cover that up".
And I deleted the Thread because the OP wrote to me & asked for it to be Deleted. I believe that is his perfect right. In truth, I was debating with myself as to whether to remove it or not, but he made the decision easy. There's the truth.
I don't need to "cover myself" for a mistake, either, I just fess up, & I'm surprised you think I would.
PS - I hope it was never implied it was Claw's fault - it was not. She just had the balls to stand up & say her piece.
