Is it now the case that active threads can be removed if we are the OP? No matter what the length?

If so I'm not going to spite request that a heap of threads get deleted, that's the kind of thing MikkyT would do. I just urge the mods to have a think about the precedent this sets.

Very good idea that the thread was deleted. Suggestions for Valentine's dates ranging from Laser Quaser to paddling down a river made the budding casanovas on here come across like clueless bedroom-dwelling internet geeks. Hopefully no hot girls saw that miserable debacle and we can just pretend it didn't happen.

You can keep on at me all you like Tank, but I did what I did in haste, & it might have been wrong, & it might not, but I did it, & I did it alone. And I have not, ever, tried to "cover up" it, or anything, or blame anyone else. You were a Mod once, & I would think you of all folks would understand it's a lose-lose gig.

Yes, we wll give thought to the precedent this might set. If I had my time over again, I may not have deleted it, but I did. Don't read too much into it - I acted ugently, as I felt the need. Sometimes these things turn out to be unwise, sometimes not.
