I've only played one APAT game and I didn't really enjoy it. It was full of loud mouthed drunk people. Quite a few people didn't like this and it didn't make for a nice atmosphere. I've not been to one of them since.
...and that's different to a blonde bash in what way? Also, good sample size.

Yes I think there have been at least 2 tournaments like that since it started, so probably best avoided.

A few of the guys in the APAT thing just seemed like idiots that I had no desire to ever want to know. And yeah it's a sample size of one. But given how much effort it was to actually get into the thing (clickfest thingy) I see no reason to really try it again.

I can see why the 12 seconds it took to clickfest would've put you off. way too much effort

I got into poker through APAT weekends.
But i dont think you can compare Blonde Bashes with APAT weekends.
Apat Weekends = Blonde Bash if it was full of Bainns

Was that one notably worse than the others?

Was that one notably worse than the others? yes, and a couple of temporary bans were issued as a result. There was still fun to be had that weekend though, including an interesting chat about professinal jousting iirc, plus the drama of the running man.

walsall was not helped by the fact that at the time it was probably the worst run cardroom in the country, nobody was controlling anything
