Thanks All

I had dinner with the winner after and he said that while i was busy texting updates i wasn't concentrating and it allowed him the opportunity to make some moves lol.

I guess i did relax a little but i also went card dead and was missing flops so doing the deal when we did definitely paid off , overall very happy .

Cheers

Unbelievable. Have a word with whoever you were texting, or I will, that's outrageous.

I am a judge this year at the awards and we have just finished out judgey duties. I have no idea who has won as yet, the chairperson of our meeting is the only one who does so I am just as eager in anticpiation of seeing who wins what.

Simon and Pauls category was a really tough one, I went into the meeting with a very strong idea of who I thought might win, but having since learnt about some of the other nominees its opened my eyes up a bit to some of the hard work that has gone on in poker outside of the UK & Ireland. I think its the most open category in the whole awards, which is a good thing for us punters.

I cant say who I voted for yet until tomorow, I will post the results here, but hopefully the guy I voted for will come up trumps tonight Wink

Right Im off to get pissed and say 'bonjour' out of context a lot.

Congrats on the result Simon

Think knowing he does a good job is good enough, to be fair to the winner you have no idea what he does so don't quite see how you can say he doesnt deserve it.
