Great work Ray, still don't understand the reason for wanting to play cash when you are obviously ridiculously good at what you do. It's about the bottom line at the end of the day.

Keep running good.

Cheers all, because James is a legend I owed him £500, Rupert also helped me out when I was with him, I run good with backers and I'm very grateful to both. So that means I'm out of mu and can pay him that back as well as making a little bit for myself. Next aim is to get a roll sorted so I can grind on my own dime, want to get to $5k before doing that. That and SN ofc are the current aims which I've already made tougher for myself after slacking a little bit this weekend but it isn't really an option whether I do it or not, aim for next week is a rather tough 1700 games, see how close I come. It's pretty much going to have to be 1700 games a week every week until Xmas if I'm going to have the week between Xmas and New Year off, I don't like my side of that.

I wasn't enjoying 45's anymore and wanted to play cash, but I need to make money ofc and funnily enough I am enjoying the sng grind at the minute.

Well done fella, thats good to hear.

Just one thing though did you not take up poker on a "full time" basis because you weren't enjoying your day job?

So you start to crust the 45 man games and other SNG's on Stars and you seemed to be doing well enough yet your not "enjoying" that so you switch discipline and you get yourself in a hole and I presume you never enjoyed that either.

I think its part and parcel, but your not really supposed to enjoy your job.  If your crushing though at one particular type of game does it not make sense to keep doing that until you have enough cash to do something different?

Obvs tell me to mind my own business, but as this is a diary and I have read most of it I have taken a keen interest.

I think a lot of it was maybe down to my "big" win in the Monte Carlo last December, I wanted to play "proper" poker and not just spend 10 hours a day clicking buttons. I do like playing, I even enjoy 20 tabling and I'm very lucky to be able to make a living doing something I like. I enjoyed playing 45's for all of 2010 until I got that result, also I was probably a little burnout after grinding my bollocks off Nov/Dec to make SN, glad I haven't left myself in a similar spot this year

I will definitely be sticking to sng's until at least the end of 2012, then I will see where I'm at and hopefully will have a decision to make between going travelling or not, but that's a long way away yet. Little steps ftw.
