Yo Mond. Over 1k games, what kind of roi would you expect this guy to make playing the games he has put up? http://www.pokerstrategy.com/forum/thread.php?postid=668838#post668838

P Leno, 1k isn't much of a sample size and since variance at 180's is bigger than 45's could easily be breakeven/down over 1k games. Longy would no a better roi figure to give for longer term.

Impossible to tell, he could be a losing player with the kind of sample size shown, and just be running hot

I honestly feel like I've been playing well this year but how can I be when I'm breakeven over 3k games and that's after the shit end to the year I had, it's not possible for it to be just down to running bad. Every session just seems to be the same; losing the majority of flips, getting it stuck in my eye in to many big pots and not getting there enough. But like I say I can't just be running bad. I'm so fukn frustrated at the minute and confidence is low which isn't great but I truly don't believe it effects my game. Yeah, I've cut the session short today as I was pissed off but I've been trying to grind through sessions but to no avail. I know I'm partly to blame for my lack of volume this year but when I've played it's just been going shit which is partly why I haven't been playing as much.
I'm at work tmoro and then will play Sat/Sun and see how it goes.

Don't take this the wrong way Ray but do you not think you might be better off playing poker on the side and going back to your job full time?
Imagine these stresses when you've got your own place and a mortgage and 2 kids to feed. (Kids would both be called Shearer obv).
You're a bright Guy who obv has potential to rise through the ranks doing your accountancy whereas poker is already causing you stress and trouble.

Not taking the wrong way at all Cosridicballinouttacontrolblowing5konnakedladiesPaperestis but I'm not sure I like the idea of giving up because I'm having a bad spell, actually I am sure, I don't like that idea. Its not like I've always been struggling and can't beat the games, less than 6 months ago I was winning more than anyone at these games so even if they've possibly got a little tougher I should still definitely be able to beat the games. I've had spells before where confidence has been low and I've struggled but I've bounced back from it and done well again and I plan to do the same again. It's not a tough job physically but mentally it certainly is but I believe I'm capable of handling it.

From my experience poker is all confidence. When I was on my 3-month winning streak, I literally barely ever lost. Soon as I had the one blow up, I couldn't ever win a pot.
I know that's an extreme example but there you go.
