There was a character transformation about 2/3rds of the way-in which I am still struggling to accept, but otherwise I have loved Gomorrah.  Did about five episodes in three days which is the measure for me.

Il Capo dei Capi is better I think.  Highly recommended.

Just randomly flicked over to Sky Atlantic where GoT was on and it was a scene from s2 of Yygritte bent over with Jon Snow about to behead her and she says "strike hard and true Jon Snow" and then he just can't do it.....just wonderful, wonderful stuff and you could probably just dip into almost any scene in 3 seasons and it be equally great.  Made me wonder how manyother shows would pass that test.  I can watch any episode of the Sopranos and love it and feel largely the same about Mad Men but weirdly, even though I loved it more at the time, the Wire definitely doesnt pass that test and when I watch it now there are only certain episodes I would definitely watch over if it was on.

Z Nation

Just watched first episode.. certainly no TWD ( but what is)  slightly formulaic but decent production values and looks like plenty of hard fast and messy killing..anyone else catch this?

Meh, grudgingly sticking with it since I love Batman (though Ben Afflexk may change that).

Don't like the lead, don't find the level of corruption in Gotham plausible, dont buy Pertwee as Alfred (though he may grow on me).

The guy who plays the Penguin and Jada Pinkett Smith are the best things about it so far.

Great episode of Boardwalk Empire this week, incred. Sigh that this season is only 8 eps for some reason so only one more left Sad

Haha, I was watching it last week, and thinking that they're moving things along quickly.

Guess that explains why, if it's all wrapped up next week Sad

Homeland has been very good this season, too.

Finding the Wire a real grind, I watched a few episodes over Wcoop whilst I was playing a few tables and just couldn't get really into it, I'd watch 2 episodes then fade off and watch something else. Is it something I need absolutely 100% attention for or is Season 2 just a bit slow?

Never found it a grind, but I did find that I had to rewatch episodes that I tried watching when splashing about in a couple comps.

Thank God..

I thought I was the only one. I will watch almost anything and enjoy, but i too have watched 5/6 episodes of The Wire and feel exactly the same. Its ok, but its not the be all, end all the way some paint it.

Maybe I'm giving up too early?

Probably took me most of the season to get into it properly. It wasn't until I understood the different police departments and how the characters related to each other that I started enjoying it properly (For example I had no idea why everyone who worked with him hated McNulty so much)

It does reward attention.  Think of it like a great novel which you probably wouldn't read whilst grinding.  That said it is slow in periods but over the 5 series arc it is very rewarding.
