I found that so far up itself you could barely make out the soles of its shoes. Yet to find a fan of it (cue barrage)

i've only watched a few episodes of treme, but as usual the quality of it's production kept me interested even if the subject matter wasn't what I usually watch tv series for.

a channel I dont know which because I dont watch tv, has been reshowing OZ from the beginning recently, ened up having a lot reminisce about it with friends at the weekend.

Some good actors, that have been in other shows, so it should keep my attention for a while.

Old man was moaning about having nothing to watch, and then I find out that he hasn't bothered watching The Newsroom, even though I gave it to him as soon as it finished!

Season 2 is widely considered 'the slowest'. It's not at all bad it's just slower than people are used to. The 5 series taken as a whole are just absolutely fantastic. Absa-bloody-lutely fantastic.  I'm so jealous of people who get to watch them for the first time.

Never understood why Season 2 of the Wire wasn't that popular, I really enjoyed it.

Having said that, when I start trying to decide which is best, it usually ends in a five way tie.

Season 5 had some sketchy moments, but also had some of the absolute best moments. The final 20 minutes of the last hour is truly amazing.

meh i've watched a bunch, but having read the books i'm kinda meh whilst everyone else is hyping it because that's what you do now about anything people watch.


The Wire I couldn't choose a best season for, because they are so different but also so necessary. When people ask what the Wires about I just say Baltimore and they get confused. You could definitely watch any season out of context and it would feel well made and interesting, however taken as a whole it's just absolutely fantastic. Couldn't be done without season 2 imo.

Ultimately I think the Wire is about the system and how its broken. No matter how good you do, the game is still rigged against you.

Also, the Wire is all about the game obviously.
